Writing on your phone?

I have a keychron k2, a mechanical keyboard that goes clackety clack, so it improves my writing quality by at least 25% and annoys everyone in a 10 meter radius. Can't recommend enough 👍
Mechanical keyboard here too, for real typing. Unbeatable. Cherry MX brown switches on mine, supposedly quieter, as far as mechanical switches go. Still not quiet though.

I will defer/acknowledge that some people seem to be just as fast on phones. Nonetheless I’ll stick with a real keyboard and computer.

To me it’s the equivalent of the argument, “can you run while wearing flip flops?” Yes.

Is it as easy as running with running shoes? The answer is, don’t even bother having that debate with a flip flop runner. They live in their special little world. ;-)

This right here! This is a never ending paranoia of mine, so when I write in public I always keep my back to the crowd. Or I just hide in my car. 😂

I wont write in public unless I can put my back to the wall and no one is immediately next to me. Which ofc precludes writing on an airplane.

Don't we all, Rob? Reading out in the real world is bad enough, but writing out in public requires a particularly skilled level of degenerate filthiness.

That's what that Bluetooth keyboard will help we with. I've decided to do a little writing on my breaks at work. Which makes you an enabler. 😅

Microsoft 365 for android is what I use. If I choose to write on my computer it's easy to just continue where I left off.

I can't write on my phone. I've tried, but it's just typo after typo as I fat finger stuff, and my thoughts get ahead of my writing. Just frustrating as hell. I got a tablet with a keyboard case so I can write on the go.

I use Standard Notes free.

Not really because it's especially great for writing or anything, but because it synchronises with end-to-end encryption across all my devices. That way I can work on the same story on any device.

I much prefer writing on a laptop, but I have the freedom to continue on my phone, if inspiration hits me on the road.
