I've often encouraged, pleaded, begged my wife to go sans a bra but she's way too shy and would be flabbergasted with the attention her nipples would attract if she sat at a bar with me haaaa!!

If you are talking about a music festival, in the US, it seems bras must be checked at the door. Pretty common for women to leave little to the imagination at music festivals.

I've been lucky. My wife stopped wearing bras, outside of work and family events, after our 2nd date 23 years ago. Heavy metal concerts are a safe place to pull that off. You'll get more compliments than dirty looks I'm sure.
