there's not a lot of old people where I live but I went through an art deco phase and bought some upside down pineapple lamps a few years ago, they were gold and went well with my decor...years later my father in law clued me in to what they meant and I've never gone yard sale shopping in the old neighborhoods again

So..... Did you set the lamps up in front of the bedroom or the living room windows? Or perhaps on the front porch?there's not a lot of old people where I live but I went through an art deco phase and bought some upside down pineapple lamps a few years ago, they were gold and went well with my decor...years later my father in law clued me in to what they meant and I've never gone yard sale shopping in the old neighborhoods again

Before my current monochrome design palaette I had a gilded age "bar" area in the dining room. The lamps sat on top of the bar, just out in the open, silently mocking my cluelessness

Not Michigan anymore, but not too far from it.
I actually have multiple job titles....unfortunately they don't give me multiple paychecks. Luckily, I really do the same job regardless of the titles, except for one, which I volunteered for.
