This. Sometimes this place uses up all my emotional bandwidth and I've had to walk away. But the community I've found here always brings me back.

I feel this too sometimes honestly. I see a lot of the people I was close to have moved on, or for unknown reasons just arent talking to me as much anymore, and I wonder why I'm here exactly.

Then I post fun stuff or read fun stuff and I'm like "eh, whatevs."

living with excessive wealth while the people who work for your company can’t afford to buy food because they aren’t paid enough … that’s not disliking someone for working hard. Also a lot of wealthy people are ONLY wealthy because of generational wealth and did not actually WORK for it.

There are turds in every walk of life, you said they should not exist (billionaires), not all are turds, some pay their staff very well and they have very comfortable lives. I don't understand why people have to be hated because of their wealth. If it's generational wealth and it was earned with slavery or any other nefarious means then sure I understand the sentiment but if an inheritance is passed on to each generation worth more than the previous generation then that's taking care of your family. Sure some people have no moral fibre and don't work but many do and should not be vilified because of it.

I live in a city which has days where if I toss boiling water into the air it comes down as snow. Summer is not the worst season.

At least in winter you can get warm. I can only take off so many clothes. If I couldn’t pull of my skin to cool off, I would.
