Putting woman's rights aside, I pay almost 5,000 in taxes might be more for some or less for others. I am complaining regardless cause I worked for that money. If I had a pimp, I would understand the need, but I've been fucking for free for years.

Riepe, a cosigner to the bill, had proposed an amendment to move the ban to 12 weeks instead of six weeks, but his amendment did not receive a vote Thursday.

I think all people should own their body and have the final say about it. Sadly, that just really isn't the case. Males are routinely circumcised as infants with no choice, males are subject to the draft and military service (which often involves death, dismemberment, mental trauma, etc), men can have their labour exploited and finances taken from them by women, which men acquire using their bodies and limited life time, etc.

So are you mentioning the draft (which no longer exists) to point out that every time that men have had compelled labor they have had multiple reimbursements for it and therefore since women are being forced into labor that they should enjoy the same type of reimbursements? Things such as pay for their labor, clothing, housing, medical care, education benefits, housing assistance after service, life insurance etc.

Additionally it seems very odd to talk about exploited labor considering that women perform the overwhelming majority of unpaid labor.

Just a thought.

south carolina introduces bill, with no exceptions, for death-penalty on women who have an abortion. this should be 'dead on arrival' but will it be? and if this passes, how can most carolinian women NOT be up in arms about it? NO. EXCEPTIONS. AT. ALL.
they are quite clear that a woman's life means less than a splitting cluster of cells, or a foetus with no chance of surviving even as its decay/problems cause dire health risks to the parent. It reduces women, with no exceptions, to breeding chambers, like making a single tree seed more important than the tree.

Many see this as a direct threat to women. Planned Parenthood spokesperson stated, "This one is particularly concerning because it would impose the death penalty on women who have abortions." It further said the bill removes all exceptions, including for rape, fetal anomaly, and even the pregnant person's health.

Rob Harris of Spartanburg, who is behind the bill, said, "If we call it life and define it as life, then why should anyone, not just mothers, why should anybody be able to take that life?"
