There is intelligent life out there but there's also a reason why they don't make contact. Why the fuck would anyone want to contact us? We destroy each other and the very planet that sustains us, on a universal scale we are going to rate lower than the dinosaurs. We know nothing, we learn nothing, we destroy everything.
Besides I believe what Stephen Hawkins said, very clever man, if we were going to be contacted it would be for only 1 reason, water and other resources, certainly won't be for anything other than that. We are cattle and our planet is mostly water in a liquid state which is a rare commodity.

Good salt doesn't really affect the water clarity. It just runs through an electrolysis unit that pulls the chlorine out of it for sanitising. Add another 20kg bag of salt every month or so.

Passive heating can be roof thermal geothermal underground, solar collector, or run a heat pump off solar panels.

So I’ll summarize quickly by saying,

4. Don’t over think it and have some fun.
5. Don’t let anyone else force you into doing something you don’t want.
