I'm having a night listening to some real classics from pretty famous British bands and I'm curious, how many of non-British people here, have some favourite Brit bands?

Let me know what band does it for you and what songs.

Anyone for Oasis? Arctic Monkeys? Queen? AC/DC?

I'm in Australia and a lot of our music when I was a young fella was from British bands .. We also had some great Aussie bands .. As mentioned above ..AC/DC ,Angels to mention just 2 that rocked our youth ..

For what it is worth, my dad’s family was also… but that was 170 years ago or so.

My bad, AC/DC are Australian but I've always thought of them as British seeing as most were born in Scotland and Brian Johnson is a proper Geordie.

Pink Floyd are my complete favourite. Anything done without Roger Waters is even better. I can't stand the guy at all.

I only care about where he partied…lol. By the time he played in the US, the party had lost its fun. Still love his line: “I spent half my life drinking, smoking and chasing women. The other half I wasted.”

The line makes me giggle too! Such an absolute waste of a life, never mind the liver. He did not deserve to get that. He was up there with Pele when God was handing out football talent.
