What they want very badly is photos of Trump being perp-walked in handcuffs and a mug shot to use in the coming Biden campaign. The evidence and charges are flimsy to nonexistent, and he's protected by the SS so I don't see him being abused by that kind of process. Ignoring that the only reason this didn't happen sooner under stronger charges is because Mueller not only a good man but worse his report was intentionally mischaracterized in initial reports. We know beyond any reasonable that he tried to steal the election. We have the recordings of him asking a governor to find a very specific amount of votes. We know he asked Mike Pence not to certify. These things are not up to debate at all. Maybe it wouldn't have done any good to get on Twitter or Facebook, or held a press conference as soon as things started getting rowdy but he could have tried and had an obligation to the American People to TRY to protect us. The payment to Stormy was part of a settlement agreement. Just like all the other settlement agreements which occur every day in civil suits. If the DA tries to prosecute Trump based on the fact that he agreed to a settlement where he pays money to the other party in a lawsuit then that puts every other settlement at risk for the same type of prosecution.

The courts cannot allow that to happen. Moreover, society cannot allow that to happen.

A prosecution by Bragg against Trump on this basis could end up being the shot that starts the second civil war. If that happens we all lose because no one can predict what the outcome will be except bloody. And that's not even considering what will happen in the rest of the world while you idiots are amusing yourselves by playing hide and seek with your belly buttons.

Thus, the unending HATRED AND BIGOTRY on the Left could bring about the downfall of the entire country. If not the world.

Trump was entitled to pay the settlement, he was even obliged to pay it. He's not being investigated for paying it.

He's being investigated for using a business account to pay his private liability. The money was for business purposes, not his private slush fund. Most of it was apparently contributed by the rubes to bolster his chances of re-election although it's arguable that disguising the payment as a legitimate business matter did increase the chance of his dumbest supporters not realising what was going on.
