Like many words in the dictionary, the word “woke” has evolved and has more than one meaning. The definition I posted and a similar one posted earlier today reflect how the world is widely used today. The OP asked the for the definition of woke and has gotten answers. Clearly some here don’t like those answers.

The fact that “woke” is widely used this way by people you don’t like doesn’t change the fact that it’s widely used.
But neither the right or left use it that way. So who does?
Happens with a lot of expressions initially coined by youth. “Cool” started with teens. Then older people appropriated it and teens stopped using it. When my kids were teens, I heard the term “hella.” Couple years later I started hearing boomers using it at work. Some expressions stick and become mainstream across all generations and others die. Really far out man.
Its not about like or dislike, its a matter numbers. Normal Right wingers don't use it that way.
