Their "ghost cities" look great from a distance but the majority of them are uninhabitable. There are a number of undercover videos on Youtube showing the terrible construction used in these cities:

Maybe if the right wing would stop pushing the narrative that the US military is made up of a bunch of fat lazy pussies serving a senile president, potential recruits might be more interested in defending our nation.

The way Rightguide and the GOP are framing it the most patriotic thing a young person can do is collect black guns and march against the US government with the Oath Keepers and the 2MWNE crowd.

The military is concerned about Chinese interference whilst allowing the troops to watch unamerican propaganda from Fox in the chow halls.

They need to look at their priorities.

The war between China and Vietnam broke out in 1979 and ended in 1990, with large numbers of PLA soldiers from the 8 major military zones of China taking turns to have real battles with Vietnamese armed forces in Mount Fakashan (located in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region)and Mount Laoshan (located in Yunnan Province) in the border area.

In 2020s, China, the US, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, etc are all new hands in war, so it is hard to say who will win in real fight. Glories belong to the past generations only. For example, Emperor and Superhero Napolean never imagined that his brave grandsons and granddaughters of France could have cried uncle so soon before the Hitler forces.

Napoleon went to war against the Tsar with 700,000 men only 100,000 came home. Napoleon abandoned his army in Russia as he did previously in Egypt. Remembering the failures of Little Boney in Russia, as immortalized by Tolstoy, and at Waterloo, the modern-day French after the Germans bypassed the Maginot Line of 1940 were probably contemplating their plans being rendered just as worthless as Napoleon's were and contemplated surrender, or face the total destruction of their country.

Chinese combat experience is at best 30 years in the past. They have big numbers in their army but like all communist armies they are centrally controlled only now bringing on an NCO class in their military scheduled to be fully functional by 2049. The American military has always had an NCO sub-command where mission command and battlefield flexibility is pushed to the lowest possible rank in all of its services. US forces, especially its ground forces are flush with combat experience in their officer and upper enlisted ranks. It can make a big difference. I will add that some of the North Vietnamese success against the PLA was due to the enormous amount of American weaponry left on the field for the North to capture and employ against them, as much as 2-5 billion worth.
