The Liberal Media:Every Poll Shows Journalists Are More Liberal than the American Public — And the Public Knows It

Executive Summary

Over the next four months, the media establishment will play a central role in informing the public about the candidates and the issues. As the countdown to Election Day begins, it is important to remember the journalists who will help establish the campaign agenda are not an all-American mix of Democrats, Republicans and independents, but an elite group whose views veer sharply to the left.

Surveys over the past 25 years have consistently found that journalists are more liberal than rest of America. This MRC Special Report summarizes the relevant data on journalist attitudes, as well as polling showing how the American public’s recognition of the media’s liberal bias has grown over the years:

  • Journalists Vote for Liberals: Between 1964 and 1992, Republicans won the White House five times compared with three Democratic victories. But if only journalists’ ballots were counted, the Democrats would have won every time.
  • Journalists Say They Are Liberal: Surveys from 1978 to 2004 show that journalists are far more likely to say they are liberal than conservative, and are far more liberal than the public at large.
  • Journalists Reject Conservative Positions: None of the surveys have found that news organizations are populated by independent thinkers who mix liberal and conservative positions. Most journalists offer reflexively liberal answers to practically every question a pollster can imagine.
  • The Public Recognizes the Bias: Since 1985, the percentage of Americans who perceive a liberal bias has doubled from 22 percent to 45 percent, nearly half the adult population. Even a plurality of Democrats now say the press is liberal.

National security adviser Jake Sullivan: 'No definitive answer’ from intelligence community on lab leak theory

Sullivan said he couldn't confirm or deny WSJ report that the Department of Energy concluded COVID-19 leaked from China lab

We know why? Joe can't take any action against China without being blackmailed.
The leftoid progressive neo marxist gatekeepers must be in total meltdown. Time for the loons to cancel the energy department. LMFAO.

BLASPHEMOUS I SAY!!

It’s funny how some conservatives think there is a nefarious conspiracy to pack journalism and education with liberal minded people.

Why do you suppose those careers tend to appeal more to people who aren’t typically so conservative and self-interested?

Who cares?

Unless it's an opinion piece, ideology of the journalist is moot.

LOL you're a fucking idiot....at best, given the "low confidence" rating the Departent of Energy used, all that means if they are right is there was a security breach in the lab. This breach resulted in either a worker becoming infected, or the virus itself escaped.

So what prevents any country from taking action against China? What actions would any country take? Come on wrongway, let's hear you actually put out a suggestion, instead of hiding behind other peoples headlines....

Go to the link I provided and read the truth for yourself instead of imagining some other reality.

I don’t know what reality you think I’m imagining here. I only asked:

“Why do you suppose those careers tend to appeal more to people who aren’t typically so conservative and self-interested?”

I skimmed most of the article but I didn’t see anything about why the bias is so pervasive, only that there is a bias.

Can you find a quote in the article that says and provides evidence of a nefariousness liberal plot?

If you know why more liberals than conservatives go into journalism please enlighten us.

Who cares?

There will always be a bias due to editorial decisions of what stories to cover. You can print or broadcast truthful news items like lazy surfer dudes on welfare, Black dude with a stick in front polling place, and trans women women using public restrooms or cover stories about children with not enough food to eat, hours long lines at polling places in minority areas, or hate crimes against the LGBTQ community.

While Fox News has no problems straight up lying to it's audience the choices of the stories they cover skewers reality even if the reporting happens to be true.

Where was a "nefarious conspiracy" referred to by me or the article?

Where was a "nefarious conspiracy" referred to by me or the article?

If you don’t think the is a nefarious conspiracy then why do you think more liberals go into journalism than conservatives?

It’s a simple question. Why are you spinning? If you don’t know, that’s fair too.

Is there a problem you would like to solve or are you “just saying”?

The Fourth Estate is owned by six men that sold out to the Deep State.

Do adults still believe in a Deep State?
Apparently, I think the Government and the FED we see can fuck things up without any help. I don't know is Klaus Schuab American. Biden has just joined the US up with WEF for example so there you go, own nothing and be happy.

It would be nice if you could cite Reuters or some other respected source instead of your usual low credibility links that are often full whackadoodle.

When did we own important things?

It's not a conspiracy, it's just the way it is.

Well let me explain it to you. Since NEVER. Or at least not in a meaningful way within our lifetimes. We are gradually moving away from owning things, but that is largely intentionally.

Rupert Murdoch acknowledged that Fox News hosts endorsed false stolen election claims

Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of Fox Corporation, acknowledged in a deposition taken by Dominion Voting Systems that some Fox News hosts endorsed false claims that the 2020 election was stolen.

Murdoch’s remarks were made public in a legal filing as part of Dominion’s $1.6 billion lawsuit against Fox News.

In his deposition, Murdoch rejected that the right-wing talk network as an entity endorsed former President Donald Trump’s election lies. But Murdoch conceded that Sean Hannity, Jeanine Pirro, Maria Bartiromo, and former host Lou Dobbs promoted the falsehood about the presidential contest being stolen.

“Some of our commentators were endorsing it,,” Murdoch said, according to the filing, when asked about the talk hosts’ on-air positions about the election. “I would have liked us to be stronger in denouncing it, in hindsight,” he added.

The filing also revealed that Murdoch referred to some of Trump’s 2020 election lies as “bulls**t and damaging.”
