What’s your most controversial opinion?

I, too, prefer vanilla ice cream to chocolate ice cream, but only if the vanilla ice cream is very good and meant to be eaten by itself. Sometimes vanillas can be simple base ice creams for add-ins.
Then again, vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberries... 😋

M&Ms...crushed Heath bars...Oreos...chocolate and caramel sryup...topped with super healthy granola. Shitty ice cream? No problem

"Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Don't remember where that is from
I want to say that's from Voltaire; it's from that time period. I believe the quote is, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Not 100% sure.

Is that really controversial? I thought that was something Everybody knows.

Many of my friends are that type and they take some strong opinions on this. I disagree with several basic principles, mainly on what's funny. I think everything can be funny. A lot of people don't like that opinion, but I think limiting humor limits the enjoyment of life, which is kind of pointless.

Something else my friends cannot understand is that the attitudes of political correctness, cancel culture, etc., cause many evil people to get elected, which is counterproductive. I've seen it all my life.

I agree.

There is no such thing as "cancel culture". It is nothing but a catch phrase to divert blame. Poor me....I am being canceled. Lol. No...it is just more people have a different view than you about events and they choose to ignore the false rhetoric. It has always been this way. Need an example? Pillow Guy. He sells shitty pillows at a 400% markup. People talk. Damn...this pillow is no better than the $7 Walmart special. $80....or $7. But he claims he is being canceled because of his political views. No...he is being canceled because he sells a shitty product. If he offered a decent product...people buy it....even if he is an idiot. Liars...get caught.
