there are social media posts rife with young women being shocked that men are turned off by high body counts and OF profiles. Men dox them to family and show off their images to their friends after a rendezvous. They use them for sex to brag that they made it with an OF girl. Mothers of boyfriends make them break up when they find out the girl is an OF, etc.
There is a Twitter page that is completely dedicated to women posting these and getting sympathy from other women in the same situation. It is updated daily with multiple posts, apparently. Yes I did work as a stripper in university. As you say I don't have to worry about my pictures being on the Internet forever. But I did encounter friends and/or family who were judgmental. I think that the biggest part of my response was to own it. If you give oxygen to the premise that others' get to pass judgment, you sort of validate that. But if you shut them down and refused to be shamed and deny them the right to have a valid opinion about your life choices, then you put them in a position of being compelled to openly attack you, which usually makes them look like a bully. Most will back away from trying to shame you fairly quickly. And those that do persist will find that when it comes to psychological battle around sexual matters women are far better armed than men - guys have a few snarky things that they can say but any woman has a whole catalogue of sexual put downs she can use if she has to.

No doubt there are some people - friends, family, prospective employers - who see it as a moral failing or social embarrassment and choose to distance themselves as a result. If that is the way they feel I prefer that the do keep their distance. It hasn't kept me from living my life in a way that is more fulfilling than it would be if I allowed them to make me cower.

Like much of the online world, the fact that anybody can create and post content now has led to an explosion of variety. We are no longer constrained to what certain magazines choose to show us. This circumstance seems to show some interesting aspects of male (or female) preferences. Many women would be hard pressed to compete with "conventional" models and porn stars based solely on looks, but those traditional mediums also present content that was rote, unimaginative and obviously fake.

Obviously some OF content suffers from the same dynamics, but it leaves room for creativity and ownership of one's content. That allows more niche content and the ability to explore different themes rather than just pumping out images/videos to feed a distribution channel. And it seems to engage a lot of women who wouldn't indulge this sort of thing at all if they had to do it under the control of someone else.

In a way it is a bit like the impact of streaming services. For decades we were fed whatever programming network television wanted to feed us. Most of it was and is absolute garbage. Part of that is the business model and their focus on getting to the widest generic audience to optimize ad revenues and not offend anybody. But part of it is a by-product of the networks' own myopathy and the fact that many creative people do not want to work in that environment.

When we think of any look or theme in erotica or porn, if it is left to the traditional porn industry all we will ever see is drool inducing fluff for the knuckle dragging crowd. Nothing wrong with that. I jerk off to that stuff too. But there is no need to be limited to that.
