Should get myself out of this chair and on the path to bed. Mostly resting all day.How is everyone?
My go to is 800mg Motrin and cup of coffee. Take that 3 times in a day. To prevent bounce backFor the me the fast version of ibuprofen (400mg) has always helped if taken very early. Now that it didn't this week, and the combo was 600mg + paracetamol 1000mg as with ischias pain or a lost tooth, I've made sure to have that combo in my handbag in the future. I have a hunch I will see more migraine in the coming weeks.

The dosage is not very healthy for you ...those impact your other organs as well.so meet a doctor u know...600 mg n 1000 mg are big high and if taken over a period of time continuously, it might start affecting your other organs...i ddnt know it myself, and took those high power meds for avoiding the migraine and it almost cost me my kidneys..For the me the fast version of ibuprofen (400mg) has always helped if taken very early. Apologies.....Please don't mix who you quote and to who you talk to. I don't have migraine tonight (and I never ever drink coffee myself) - it was for MrTenant.
For many caffeine helps, it enhances the effect of pain killer.

Lotta the prescription meds here are caffeine and Motrin “ ibuprofen “ based. Please don't mix who you quote and to who you talk to. I don't have migraine tonight (and I never ever drink coffee myself) - it was for MrTenant.

I wasn't talking about continuous of course. I was only talking about when the migraine hits!!!!The dosage is not very healthy for you ...those impact your other organs as well.so meet a doctor u know...600 mg n 1000 mg are big high and if taken over a period of time continuously, it might start affecting your other organs...i ddnt know it myself, and took those high power meds for avoiding the migraine and it almost cost me my kidneys..

For paracetamol 1000mg 3 times a day is ordinary (though I know not to take more), 500mg is absolutely useless. Also 600mg of ibuprofen isn't too uncommon - I never use less than 400 for anything. Also their combination is common ans I've had cures just like that prescribed for me for other reasons - meaning 1-2 weeks 3x a day. Let me tell you, doctors didn't think long before they did... And my late husband ate ibuprofen 600mg for years bc of chronic pain because it had less side effects than the options.
Ibuprofen did not cost your kidneys. It attacks stomach, not kidneys like paracetamol.
Actually migraine is a lot more common than people think. I just read about even the so-called tension headache actually being a kind of migraine. It may even be the migraine causing the tension in the muscles.I finally got diagnosed in my 40s. Migraine specialist examined me and said i got migraines. It’s gotten worse over the years.
I was on paracetamol based one
I would try this if it has less side affects...I was on paracetamol based one....
I can guess that, because it's the one straining kidneys.I was on paracetamol based one....
Now they have put me on antidepressants for sarotonin boost to combat my migraine...I can guess that, because it's the one straining kidneys.
But having a safe amount of paracetamol + safe amount of ibuprofen is no worse for the kidneys than the paracetamol alone. Also the safe maximum amount for ibuprofen is actually higher. 600mg isn't even close to that.
I hope it helps. I only get side effects from SSRI meds. Now they have put me on antidepressants for sarotonin boost to combat my migraine...
Oh noooo -I have the beginnings of a migraine.![]()
