Seven different officials in President Joe Biden’s administration are in office illegally due to time limits, according to the Government Accountability Office (GAO).

The GAO found that seven officials have exceeded the time limits stipulated in the law:

• Allison Randall—Acting Director of the Department of Justice (DOJ) Office on Violence Against Women;
• Charlotte A. Dye—Acting General Counsel of the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA);
• Tae D. Johnson—Acting Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE);
• Deidre Harrison—Acting Controller of the Office of Federal Financial Management, the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB);
• Karen Freeman, Craig Hart, and Ann Marie Yastishock—Assistant Administrators of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Bureau for Asia.

There's more context, of course, and it's more complex than just having an acting official.

There are three main reasons why they exist:
1. The President is not nominating officials when a vacancy is presented
2. Vacancies are happening at a higher rate (i.e. turnover is high)
3. The Senate is not keeping pace with the nominations, either by being too slow at confirming or by blocking nomination votes

I'd suggest 46 is mostly number 3 whereas 45 was a combination of all three.

750,000 Americans voted to put him in office. Unless he breaks the rules of the House to the extent it supports a two-thirds vote for expulsion, the issue should be up to his voters in the next election. He cannot be recalled under the Constitution.

The Washington Post issued a correction Friday on a story about Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., that incorrectly stated she was previously a Democrat.

"A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that Anna Paulina Luna was registered as a Democrat in Washington state in 2017 based on an erroneous voter registration database. Washington state only requires voters to declare their party affiliation when they cast a ballot in a presidential primary," the Post wrote in a correction at the top of its article.

The Post corrected that claim in the story after Fox News Digital requested comment, and noted in the updated story that the claim was "based on an erroneous voter registration database."

Luna also claimed on Twitter that the paper featured quotes about her from relatives and friends to whom she doesn't speak.
