But anthropogenic climate change could easily “interfere” with that. - In a variety of ways.

Nobody can accurately predict how natural climate change or anthropogenic climate change will impact wildlife or plants with any specificity. Some species will face extinction, some will thrive, and some will evolve and adapt. In other words, the earth will change as it always has. These changes will be beneficial to humanity in many ways, and have adverse consequences in other ways. Through it all, mankind will adapt as always.

The Earth is billions of years old we've had several ice ages with the cooling and reheating of the environment we've had gigantic portions of landmass separate and create new continents. We've had entire mountain ranges rise up, an event you wouldn't want to have been anywhere near. The environment is alive and constantly evolving. There is nothing we can do to stop it. Not sure who “they” is that you’re referring to, or what you mean exactly by “wrong.” If you’re referring to alarmists like Al Gore, then yes, that’s an easy point to prove.
There are very few climate scientists who disagree that anthropogenic warming is affecting climate. Beyond that general consensus, there is little agreement on anything specific.
IPCC assessments, which are most commonly referenced, are necessarily vague and non-specific. Global temperature and sea level forecasts are not granular and are presented with fairly wide ranges, with probabilities attached to each scenario. Moreover, these assessments have been revised significantly over time. And the climate models upon which scientists rely on are far from accurate and reliable. They are particularly useless for measuring the role of anthropogenic warming on extreme weather events. This is not an attack on the science. It’s an acknowledgment that the earth’s atmospheric system is extremely complex and that science is a process of continuous discovery.
Climate change, regardless of whether it’s natural or anthropogenic, brings benefits and consequences. Humans have always adapted and always will. There is no “existential crisis.”
Adaptation has always been challenging but the human race keeps growing and advancing. Particularly in free countries. Threats of large scale war, political instability, and cultural disintegration are of much greater concern.

Without addressing overpopulation, climate change is inevitable. Too many people are competing for limited resources - that's the root cause.
