TBH, my Daddy is in medicine too, so we tend to avoid any non-family-related medical talk or issues.

I’m however, married to someone who enjoys asking things like “do you need a full breast exam?” Or “do we need less on for this scrotal exam?” So… yeah.

My husband and all of my partners know what I go through as a nurse. I know this is a fun place and somewhere you think is silly to let off steam, but for me - it is every day. My husband, my partners, they see that and how much it affects me. I can’t say it doesn’t when my day is broken into pieces- I try not to let it hit the insides, perhaps like MM, but I’m not that. I feel everything.

Hey, my apologies if I came off as insensitive. That wasn't my intention at all. My mother was a nurse for 21 years; I have nothing but respect for all medical professionals and what patients put them thru.

I’m just really good at compartmentalization. Plus, my job deals with death, and I get to have a positive impact on it. Makes the perspective different, I think.
