Thank you, my new and virtual friends. You helped me this morning. Now I am going to see my long time (40 + years) friends for the afternoon. A follow up from yesterday's chat about watching college women’s basketball. No bouncing boobs on the team, but great legs! And the cheerleaders were refreshing to the eyes. I envied the male cheerleaders who had their hands on the female cheerleaders derrieres while holding them up inn the air. Until tomorrow morning Eastern USA time, have a great afternoon or evening.

Fucking storms! Don’t take them for granted!

A friend of a friend was helping someone else move into a new home during one of the worst recent storms - an extension of homeless services, getting people off the streets.

Before leaving the site she was talking with work colleagues about how exciting disasters can be… if only they weren’t so dangerous…

The last anyone heard from her was an emergency call from her cell phone. She tried to drive across a submerged section of road and went off the shoulder. She told the dispatcher that the water was coming over her hood just before the line went dead.

She was found in her car when the water receded - wife and mother of two elementary school children.


Don’t try to drive through flood waters, even if you know the road.
