Hi-Point 10mm: The 10mm No One Wanted

To be clear, he never claimed you did kill anyone, right? All he stated ( correctly) that firearms are designed (invented and by design) to kill people. That is a fact that is undeniable.
So? Killing people is s human staple.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the vast majority of gun owners are law abiding citizens.
Is that a fact? I know several gun owners, and most of them are proud and happy to talk about all the illegal devices they own and regulations they’ve dodged. None of them hold up convenience stores, but they are not law abiding.

Really? I've owned firearms for over 40 years and I haven't killed anyone, let alone shot anyone, or even pointed a gun at anyone. I have however shot a ton of holes in paper targets, pop cans, pumpkins, detergent jugs, pop bottles, and steel targets.
And I bet that gave you a sexual charge and dreams of being superior to other people and having the power to scare and control them. Made you "the man" didn't it? Kept you puffed up.

Nope, just a relaxing pass time for me to test my skills shooting at targets.

Then only one acting superior here is you.

Well you must have some criminal tendencies yourself if they feel comfortable telling you about it! LOL

Not true at all for all firearms. Of course they can be used to kill people, but so can knives, hammers, baseball bats, and drunk drivers.

We know for a fact you don't care about number of lives lost. Last chance. Tell us why or I'll tell everyone how you're lying to us. Is it the love of the argument or you want everyone to be as afraid as you?
Here's some boring thoughts.

Ron DeSantis promoted Regeneron to combat Covid, whilst banning any requirement for people to have a proper vaccination or mask-up to go into schools, or do business like buy & sell cakes. Regeneron was tested on cells derived from fetal tissue.
His top donor is Ken Griffin, CEO of Citadel (manufacturer of Regeneron).
Two thirds of all police officers who died in Florida in 2021 did so from Covid.

Florida ranks No. 2 in 'Mass Shootings by State'. (Must try harder, not much further to go now Florida!)
You don't need to find a good guy with a gun to stop a bad guy with a gun if you don't let the bad guy have a gun in the first place.

Firearms as a concept were invented to kill people, a firearm that cannot kill someone is a rare thing. Try suggesting to the army that they re-arm with knives, hammers, baseball bats and drunk drivers, see how loudly they laugh.

Firearms were invented to kill people; they have no other uses. If you don't want to kill, don't bother.
NASA was devoted to putting payloads into space the size of nuclear devices to intimidate the Soviets.

We should simply walk away from the Space Program.

Right???

The Americas were discovered as part of Europe's constant squabbles and warfare*.
Abandon them too since they are "conflict continents?"

PS - What were bows, arrows and spears invented for?
David's sling???

* Not just militarily, but economic and religious too.

Has anyone been killed in Russia or America by a space-launched weapon?

I don't own an ICBM, a bow, arrow or spear. I have no need for them. I do have a motorbike, they were invented and used for mass transport. Whilst it might be possible to ride it into a school to run down the pupils it would be remarkably inefficient at that.

The Americas were discovered by Europeans as part of an effort to create a trade route to India.

That's more of a reflection of you as a person and the company you keep. Not the firearms owning community at large.

That is a nonsense reply, period.

I own all sorts of guns, bows and arrows and to date they've killed nothing but game for the dinner table and freezer.

That's the real reason weapons were developed.

See, this is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. This dodge was an attempt to avoid answering the question that bombs your whole argument. You really need to devise a better way to satisfy the need. Cause you outright suck at making people think you care about lives lost. Just terrible at it.

Just a poor comeback, at best. But definitely shows that you are not American. You Aussie or a Brit?

I live close to a supermarket, but gunpowder was invented by the Chinese as weapon of war.

Based on these Taoist texts, the invention of gunpowder by Chinese alchemists was likely an accidental byproduct from experiments seeking to create the elixir of life

You might try a little scholarship before you state the "facts" as you want them to be...

"A slow match for flame-throwing mechanisms using the siphon principle and for fireworks and rockets is mentioned."

Further reading shows:

"The mixture formulas in this book contain at most 50 % saltpeter; not enough to create an explosion, they produce an incendiary instead.[12] The Essentials was written by a Song dynasty court bureaucrat and there is little evidence that it had any immediate impact on warfare; there is no mention of its use in the chronicles of the wars against the Tanguts in the 11th century...,"

Keep in mind that firearms, when first developed were lousy at war. They were cumbersome, impossible to aim, required a lot of training and took generations to reach the level of any sort of efficacious use in warfare since the average conscripted peasant could learn to use a crossbow in very short order, a weapon that had better range, was easier to aim and had better stopping power than those "guns developed for war..."

So that's OK then. They weren't much good at the beginning so we can carry on with them. Airplanes weren't much good to start with either, but they were still invented for flight and have got better since. Your point is?
