Life among Hollywood elite and hopefuls at the advent of the ‘talkies’ ~ moving pictures with sound 1920s-1930s.

The movie often pushes the R rating, nearly opening with a piss play scene, a little person bouncing on a jizzing penis shaped pogo stick, and beer bottle buggary.

There are movie scenes of movie making scenes and some fine displays of acting talent mixed with plenty of “okay, what?” moments. At 189 minutes it often feels like the extended cut of the director’s cut, having just enough camp, costume, and old classic cars to keep me awake and wondering what the point was.

One thumb way up, the other just messing around at the opening. I liked it by I won’t bother to see it again.

The best part was the sound track! Kick-ass brass jammin’ jazz band!

I meant it as a compliment. I already see a therapist/counselor for my issues. She also suggested to
talk to friends as an additional outlet.
