On all major holidays, every family should be given a free pineapple and they can put it with whatever food they like.

I am slicing mine into rings, sticking a cherry in the middle of the rings and putting the slices upside down on a sponge cake. After baking, I will smother it with hot custard and devour it like I have never eaten sponge cake before
