Series (Beta) Glitch with series association

Thanks for the new Series manager and the option to add a cover.

Each story in a series should have a link to the series it belongs to. This seems to work when the series has been auto-generated, but not really when the series has been manually created.

Take my Ali Pt 2: Claimed by the Futanari series, for example. This collects the series correctly in my profile page, but if I look at individual stories within that, The Coming of the Stone Giants has no link to any series, while Claimed by the Futanari links to a now-broken auto-generated series rather than the new manually created series.

I saw the nice stack of 'books' indicating the series connection on my page as well. I had gone through the mechanics of connecting stories together - now they are not auto-generated -

Clicking or hovering over the series icon doesn't tell me anything at all - nothing - not info as to what stories are a part of the group. That was today Dec. 18th.

Guess time will work that out?

It's still kind of weird and glitchy I admit I don't understand what they are trying to do with this feature. I want to add a story to a series but I get the message, "A work can’t be added to series in 'auto' mode or 'manual' mode in state 'completed'. These series are disabled for adding new works. See FAQ." There is also this message elsewhere: "Note: This FAQ is about a Literotica feature that is in BETA. The feature may not yet be available to all users."

There seems to be no way to choose the various series in the list, and thus no way to indicate that they were completed long ago. It seems to have become unnecessarily complex while pretending to be more "user-friendly" or at least offering the writer more options.The old way was simply to submit it with the correct title and number it, and that was all that was required.

P.S.: When I click the gear icon to the right of each series name, it says that they are managed "automatically." It does allow me to switch to Manual Mode if I chose to, but then it says "You will not be able to return to automatic management after this."

I guess if you delete a manual series there will be an automatic one generated at some point.

But yes, you want to set the series to manual to control it yourself, but don't set it to completed unless you're sure you won't be adding more chapters.
