Candidates endorsed by former President Donald J. Trump had another immaculate night in statewide and federal races Tuesday, just a day after the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided Mar-a-Lago. His endorsement record now stands at 192-11.

The sweeping victories make Trump’s endorsement record immaculate in 31 states.

I think what you are missing here, honestly, is equating teaching about the less-than honorable past is tantamount to teaching "White people to hate themselves." It is not. Rather, it is admitting that American history is less than perfect and full of injustices, yes, but that the way to overcome those injustices is admitting that they happened, and (this is the key) vowing not to repeat that dark history.

That is NOT the same as saying that the current generation white people should "hate themselves" or harbor guilt, because their ancestors were slave-holders or genocidal Native American-hunters. I think when people take it that way, they are misinterpreting the message here. And I see this a lot, from you and from a few other people on this board.

Like, as an example. teaching about the Holocaust. Some say, don't talk about it at all, or claim "It was a hoax/never happened" because it might make people feel "Guilty" or think we are telling them to "Hate their race" because of it. This would only be perpetuating hate. But the proper way would be to say, yes, there were horrible crimes committed in the past but we as a society have learned from that and vowed never to allow such crimes against humanity to be committed again.
