Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

Ok, I got the recipes so far all done.
I did proof read but who knows…

@cascadiabound
If you want to double check the recipe cards. I also made a pdf that can be easily printed but I’m not sure how to distribute it.
Looks like we are a sweet and boozy group.

Thankfully Wolfie has provided us with lots of meat 🥩.
Perfect.

Did you take those pics? Beautiful.

I am probably contractually required to make boob pic requests also.. 🤣🤣🤣

You have an amazing photogenic eye, and you are in my homeland.

I left years ago but still feel connected to the land. I can not move back because the politics make me suicidal, truly. I agree with parts of both sides, and hate both sides at the same time because they strive to divide. Please, somebody drop a piano on me. I cannot deal with all this hate.
How about we drop pianos on haters instead?

Ooh, better yet: we save the piano, hire a pianist to play you a nice, calming melody while we drop piles of bricks on the haters? More cost effective, and bricks are reusable for this purpose.

I has ideas. 🧐 😁
Or, @BrendaD try this (second shot, about the 0:50 mark)...

As promised @cascadiabound :

Homemade Old Fashioned Mix

Ingredients:
· ¾ cup rye whiskey, such as Sazerac Rye or Jim Beam Rye
· Scant ½ cup Angostura bitters
· 2 ½ cups Turbinado or other raw sugar
· 5 whole cloves
· 7 allspice berries
· 2 star anise

Method:

Heat whiskey and bitters in a small pot over medium heat until warm. Add cloves, allspice, and star anise. Gradually add sugar, stirring constantly, until it’s incorporated. Bring to a boil for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly, or until sugar is completely dissolved.

Remove from the heat, let cool slightly. Add 2 shots rye to help preserve your
syrup. Strain and funnel into a sanitized bottle or Mason jar. Store in the refrigerator.

For a superb Old Fashioned:
Add ice to an old fashioned glass. Put 1-2 tablespoons of Homemade Old Fashioned Mix over ice. Add 2 shots brandy or rye whiskey. Top off glass with soda of your choice, stir.

Enjoy!

*Note: If sugar crystalizes, heat jar in the microwave, stirring occasionally until sugar redissolves. You can add a few tablespoons of water if necessary.

Hey all… just wanted to say thanks for the distraction this morning with the pervy astrology and recipes! Had to take my mother to the hospital last night - well, urgent care clinic & they sent her right to the hospital - because her cough of the last couple of weeks turned into pneumonia (and hopefully that’s all). So it’s been a fun night and a fun day ahead I’m sure. I think I’ll probably join Musey in a few pots of coffee!

I hope she is okay soon. Also, hoping you are caring for yourself as well...I know during times like this, we often forget to give ourselves a break. Thinking calming thoughts for you and your mom.
