Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

My newly concocted gin- cranberry drink I am at least temporarily calling Cranberry Clearance (it's a nod to the major clearing and dirt work that occurred at my place all weekend)
I thought that’s what we were talking about but wasn’t sure… gin huh? 😬 might have to substitute vodka in mine. Think that would work?

Well... actually I really think gin. Especially good with a slightly more botanical gin. I favor blue sapphire which is widely available. I think especially so, since the cranberry liquor is vodka based.
But you do you. Drinks are all about personal preference

The two aren't that dissimilar. But I don't like either, so I'm probably not a good resource. I like my liquor brown. 😆
gin and vodka, while not unreasonable to substitute one for the other in mixed drinks are quite different on my palette.
Geez... this actually feels like day drinking just talking about this much booze 😯

Gin makes my face overheat

Cas, I am going to work on the recipe cards today. two questions-do you have the cranberry liquor recipe and do you have a photo I can include?

True, the aromatics in gin can make a difference depending on what your mixing them in. I've only found one gin I've even moderately liked, usually the pine is a bit too strong.

I’m a Hendricks guy. Have a few of their limited release botanicals (Midsummer Solstice, Orbium, and Neptunia). All very different flavor profiles, but all fantastic!

Only one I've ever found I've liked in Blaum Brothers, which is actually local-ish. It's the one I keep around for making drinks when entertaining, alot more subdued on the pine than any other I've tried, definitely more anise and citrus than most. I'm much more of a bourbon/scotch man, so I'm not as widely experienced with clear liquors. 🙂
