Rusty, I fixed your post. There is a specific thread where the last one wins!
Ta. Typing on a phone while waiting for coffee is a good way to make typos.JSFH, the ladies start in their bikinis but the tops soon disappear because they love to tease me. Not when I'm using the table saw for the same reason.
It doesn't matter who gets last here as after 5k posts Laurel closes the thread. There was a bar, Abbs Place that had over a million posts. Big threads like that slow the system down so 5k it is. I'll hose the place outy and open a new thread while waiting for her to close this one.

My laptop is as small as I want to go.
I have a landline and only a landline. If I'm home then I might answer, if not speak to the answer machine. I might check it.

I live on instant coffee, usually supermarket's gold.To the probable shock of the patrons of this fine establishment, I'm drinking instant coffee.
You need to submit that to Toby Keith, ASAP!All of my wives have been redheads
For me, it's more that I'm the only coffee drinker at home, and that sophisticated electronic equipment has a low life expectancy in view of the circumstances. A water boiler serves everyone (drinkers of tea, herbal tea/tisane and coffee).I live on instant coffee, usually supermarket's gold.
It is pointless for me to have real coffee. At my age I can't distinguish the difference and at coffee outlets, I prefer Americano but object to the price. I just want something that is brown and tastes approximately like coffee. Several of our local greasy spoons offer such a beverage at less than £1.

To my taste, French press coffee is the best. And it can be used for cold brew, too.You could try a French press. No sophisticated electronic equipment is required--just a kettle and the press.

Though I’ll admit that we use a K-cup machine most of the time - M’lady prefers it to the heavier body of press pot coffee, and it’s less bother when in a hurry. Still tastes good black, though. Instant’s more of a caffeine delivery vehicle, best disguised with lots of cream and sugar.
The convenience of K-cups can't be beaten, and there's no wash-up.
We're buying Lavazza online - probably the best K-cup coffee available.
Yes, it's expenive, but that convenience...![]()
I have a K-cup liquefier machine made by Bunn, the K-cups still taste like weak attempts replicating coffee, but thanks to the bulletproof, iron-clad construction of the Bunn machine, the K-cups will taste that bad for decades to come!I detest K-cup coffee. Have yet to find one that doesn't offend my palate outright.
I am, however, considering a more open-minded approach. The coffee I drink every day is a popular higher-end consumer brand, a medium roast. It is available in K-cups. I have access to Keurig machines at the resort where we have our cabin, so with this in mind I'll buy a small box of the brand's K-cups and give the concept a chance to redeem itself with me.
Similar idea, the coffee and filter comes in a sealed plastic cup about the size of a shot-glass. The machine pokes a hole in the top and pumps in hot(ish) water and pokes a hole in the bottom to let out the pseudocoffee. The water doesn't spend hardly any time in contact with the bean's remains and is notorious for lack of flavor.K-cup, that's like Senseo or Nespresso?
