Shrugging my shoulders I turn, walking into the bedroom, switching the light off, turning our bedside lamps to a soft glow. As my chapters were published, the views dropped for each chapter with my last chapter being the least viewed but yet with the highest score. I learned that you cannot please everyone, as long as you are satisfied with you finished work that's all that matters.

After submitting 30+ stories I've finally realized that there is very little rhyme or reason to either viewing count, scores or feedback.
The ones that I feel read the best and tell the best stories are not always the ones that do best.
As others have said, try to enjoy the writing process and be proud of what you write.
Enjoy the positive feedback and ignore ignorant and hurtful (nearly always anonymous) comments.

If I see a new story posted and it's chapter 12 of something, I'm unlikely to view it. If I like the premise then maybe I'll take a look but chances are I'll go find chapter 1. I do the same thing. I have read many latter chapters and then go back and read the whole story from start to finish. The one thing that I will do however is if I read a story all the way through I will favor it and give it a five star rating. If I get board part of the way through and stop reading the story I don't rate it but I will favor it and mark it to read later.
