Are women really as cold-blooded IRL as represented in Loving Wives?

My
Is there any other kind? The author has some red H's in LW, guess that's how you get them, commiserating with whiny losers gets their vote.
My latest chapter in LW is at 2.03 with 58 ratings. Then someone had to come along and comment "Enjoying the series", keeping me away from that coveted 1.00!

I'll just have to settle for being as far as practical from commiserating with the incel losers.

Goddamn it, a reverse troll! Rotten SOB actually liking the story, who does he think he is?

This is the wrong question to ask about LW stories, IMHO.

Okay, there's no wrong question to ask, but you see where I'm going. To me, it's not a very interesting question.

When I read sex fiction, what I'm always wondering is "Where's the turn on here? What elements in this subgenre or formula excite the readers who like it?"

Because I read a lot of stories that do nothing for me, not because they're poorly written but because the kink or fetish is not one I'm wired for.

Some people are just sexually excited by a scenario in which a man is helpless to avoid sexual humiliation by his wife. That's why they read LW stories. The cuckolding excites them.

And with that, Captain Obvious beams back to their ship.

The people with the legit cuck fetish do get turned on for that reason and know it, and are fine with it. They're the audience the category was designed for.

The others are getting off on their own self loathing, then before the cum even dries they're spewing hate because their angry at themselves. You find the same in incest, non con and GM. They read, they wank, then they leave a nasty comment telling the author how sick they are.

But LW seems to be the most polarizing of it because its a bad mix(as far as the trolls go) of misogyny in the sense of how dare a woman cheat, only men can do that, the self loathing that I mentioned and cold male insecurity. I am convinced 90% of that readership is male and of that 90 maybe half read because they enjoy it, but don't always comment. Seems the trolls always comment figures, right?

Some like BDSM stories, except the mistress isn't wearing black boots and physically flogging the guy with a whip. She's just tying him down with the marriage contract and emotionally flogging him.

And there really are all kinds of people out there. Appreciate the diversity.

The point missed-especially here when talking about women-is cold blooded people are made not born, so who made them cold blooded?

Bad parenting. 🤪

Actually, a legit question in the case of my first wife. Her mother seemed kindly but I sensed a schemer under the surface, and her father was a clueless dork. In retrospect, that her mother and older sister were party to concealing her stepping-out did seem a little baked-in. Hmm.

My ex wife was a real piece of work in every way, she remarried to a much older guy who had some money. He was a good guy, and always very good with my daughters. When they came to live with me and my wife it wasn't because of him, they were sick of her. There was a stretch where he worked nights and she would bring guys home with my daughters there and would tell them to never say anything to her husband or else.

She ended our marriage with cheating and flaunted it because the schemer in her wanted me to go do something to the other guy to try and stop me from seeing my kids and just get me in trouble in general. I didn't bite, not like he raped her, it takes two so see you later.

I could go on and on about the things she did. She was bi polar(I didn't know that at the time) never sought help, and also had a very dysfunctional childhood. Your past can't be used as an excuse, but it seems a lot of people just keep the cycle going. I wasn't a lot better when we met, but my kids calmed me down and gave me a reason to be a decent person, I think in a sense motherhood made her worse, long story.

But I think its why I have no patience for the scorned men in LW or the real life incels. I dealt with a real bitch who tried everything she could to hurt me and my kids. Yet I don't fall into that's every woman and hate them all or blame her for every issue in my life. I've been there so....stop your whining and grow up.

Please tell me this is just fantasy, a trope, a McGuffin, please?
Mostly fantasy, I've met some VERY cold hearted bitches, but I've also met some INCREDIBLE assholes on the other side, but in the end, people are people and the vast majority of "Loving Wives" don't exist beyond imaginations. I have known a lot of swingers and the "Loving Wife" was actually a part of a "Loving Couple" Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

My ex wife was a real piece of work in every way,

Sounds like it. I guess I should count my blessings that my ex wasn't overtly hateful toward me, and that we had no kids. I think, basically, she just wanted out early-on, but was afraid to end it because she couldn't live on her salary alone, and in essence lived a double life for close to five years. The "cold-blooded" part was her and her family's gaslighting, which they were phenomenally good at, even before we were married.

We've had no contact in the 40 years since, but I have indirect info that she might be bitter in her mature years. Little to nothing of that would have had to do with me and very well may have just been her nature.

My ex wife was a real piece of work in every way,
My ex-wife was a real piece of work in a different way. She never remarried. But she had no interest in family life after the youngest of the kids was over the age of two. She was always indifferent to what anyone else wanted, and she always played the "victim" card with excuses for why things went wrong in all of her jobs or with the family. (If things are always wrong around you, look for the common denominator!)

My current wife, on the other hand, NEVER plays the real victim card, and she has no patience for women who do. I realized she deliberately struggles with some things, merely to get me to take over and do it for her.

From my story "The User Guide", but a scene played out IRL:
******
I watched as she took the [martini] shaker, stood, and struggled trying to get the top off. Getting up from my chair, I walked to her now standing at the kitchen counter.

“Here, let me show you how to do that,” I said as she handed me the metal shaker. “You can’t grab the top the way you did. You’re squeezing the shaker’s thin metal sides and that holds the top on. You have to grab the bottom of the shaker and lever the top off with your other hand.”

“T.M.I,” Jan said smartly. “Too much info. I like my way better. It’s easier.”

“You mean; hand it to me to do it.”

“And now that you have it open, I’ll have a martini, too.” She laughed as she left me there and walked into the living room.
******

So, yes, some women can be cold blooded IRL. But I don't think I'll try trading up from my current wife. She gives me too much material to write about.

When a man or woman is a player the end is always bitter, they have their fun but as time goes on the reputation gets out there, the looks fade, and people like that tend to not have many friends because few are willing to trust people who will hurt the ones they allegedly care about.

Karma is a bitch.

My ex is in Florida and marriage number three has failed, but they're still living together because neither could afford the house on their own and they're upside down and can't sell. Her mental issues have gotten worse, she talks to herself all the time, sits in the dark, calls my daughters and even a couple times me sobbing with these fake apologies(fake because within two minutes she starts blaming us for everything) and she has drank herself into liver issues in her early forties.

She was a very attractive woman who has now lost too much weight in the wrong ways, sunken eyes, doughy skin, doesn't take care of herself, and is a mental and physical mess. Its a tough thing because on one hand as much as my daughters hate her, she's their mother and talk tough aside they do still care and worry so I never say anything negative if they bring her up, and my wife is a good person who listens to them and tries to give advice.

But in the dark places of my mind(okay that's my entire mind) she's getting what she deserves and I have not an ounce of sympathy.

Like you said when it keeps happening look in the mirror, and as I say wherever you go, you take you with you. A lot of people marry, it doesn't work, they remarry and it does usually because you're older know more of what you want etc...but when its marriage three and up....might be you.

Your bit with your wife reminds me a little of my wife in the sense she laughs and says "Screw feminism, you can do anything you want for me anytime you want." But she's joking, she's a good woman in every way, way better than I deserve to the point that 20 years later my old man will still say to me "See that girl? Best thing that ever happened to your punk ass, never forget that."

His running joke is to ask my wife "Is he bothering you? If he is let me know and I'll kick his ass."

Okay, he may not be joking.

First, I object, as a woman, to your use of the word slut in that context, when you accuse them of behaving like men.
Second, 99% of what I've read in Loving wives is male fantasy. Or indulging male fantasy. It's not reportage, it's fiction.
As far as the second statement....thats not completely accurate.

LOL.

It reminds me of another of my current wife's comments when she hands me a jar to open or anything else which might take upper body strength: "After all, I'm just a woman." (She says tongue-in-cheek, knowing she could have done it herself.)

So I guess a new category should be created, maybe "Cheating Wives"? ;) (only half-kidding)

My ex wife was a real piece of work in every way
I came back from a yearlong isolated remote deployment to Korea followed by two years in a combat unit where I spent 270 days of every year deployed to the sandbox only to hear, "It was so nice and quiet while you were gone."

What could I do? she's the mother of my children, and truly a great person so we did everything we could to remain civil and stay friends. I didn't ask what she did to get through the loneliness, and she didn't ask me (I was actually a good boy). So I wasn't lucky in love but I was lucky in divorce.

As far as I can tell, LW stories are like the rest of the stories here - fantasies - and if we read more than that into them, we're only picking a scab inside ourselves

I agree.

Authors write about human interactions in fiction, and it might be better described as a caricature. When an amusement park artist draws your caricature, it's not a photo. But it doesn't take much imagination to see yourself in it.

You dont have to imagine if youve been through it, just remember.

I think the original is adventurous wives. I think the issue with the word cheating is many stories the husband knows so its not cheating, but even if you did it as a no doubt about it warning that this is what the stories are about, they'd still read them and hate on them.

There's no other category or readership like it, and my reasoning at the risk of sounding more feminazi than I already do is because the women are doing what they want and on their terms and the men play the victim of the behavior that historically and today think is okay for them.

Now if you put those stories in fetish they do much better because that crowd is open to a lot of things and whatever the kink they see it for the kink. I always say the real men are in fetish because cuck and other material doesn't bother them, they're secure enough to know its fiction.

Worth mentioning because it backs my point is femdom is a big part of BDSM and there was a lot of it here in the past, but as time went on, BDSM devolved in bitch gets hers non consent and everything that is BDSM is male dominant, femdom gets flamed like any story in LW.

So now you see a lot of femdom in fetish for the same reasons, the guys there aren't babies.

As time goes on if this crowd of incels continues to spread around the site it will reach the point authors and readers will take their leave. I think some people here can see that coming, but the site doesn't want to address it. They screen comments and won't let anything political through or anything they personally don't like, but as you can see vitriolic spew against women along with racist and phobic hate seems to be okay.

Reminds me of how formerly good neighborhoods go downhill, and not only never bounce back but the surrounding areas start dropping off as well.

I don't think that the Bond franchise will survive with a Jane Bond at the center of the stories for the reasons you suggest here. However, historically (what history of spies you can find), the most successful spies have been women. Washington had women spies (Not the seat of government, the general, and later president) who kept him well informed of the British movements and plans and plots. The most successful of these women, was a female known only as Agent 355. A friend of my fathers wrote a story about a modern-day female spy organization; his agent's identification was 355.

Women use sex as a weapon, and despite the misogynistic portal of Bond, James Bond, most of the world's best-kept secrets are kept by men with egos the size of the Grand Canyon. His sexual prowess would only help him if he was gay and they were gay. The Bond of the books used women to get close to the bad guy. In one, a confirmed, life-long lesbian is converted in one forced sexual moment with Bond, (give me a break). Most real spy work isn't about killing the bad guy but extracting information. As long as a straight man can be tricked into thinking with his little head and not his big one, women will be able to worm their way into a position to get the information.

All hail the power of feminine wiles!
