What do readers actually want in Loving Wives?

AFAIK, LW category is about married women commiting addultery.
Probably the most infamous category, where you can expect the most hate comments.

That's exactly what I'm getting now. They continuously tell me that this does not belong here. Then I started to research a bit about what the problem was and found out that no matter how good your story is, they won't like it. I read a couple of stories from Loving Wives before and got some juicy ideas, but still they're saying, "you dumb ass, wrong category." LoL. These people are desperate. Even though I gave them the warning of what was coming, they still read it and then started shitting in the comments. Honestly, I'm loving watching these people cry in the comment section. haha. :nana::nana:

If you skim what's posted under LW in the last few days, a lot of the stories have cuck(old) clearly mentioned in the title or else clear female cheating. Those stories all have scores of 3 or 2 (or even 1). Despite this, there's enough of them that the people telling you your story doesn't belong in this category are wrong. Looking at the stories that have 4 or over - one cleary says 'Johnny will get his revenge' and another one ends with a judge declaring that a marriage is beyond saving (and has the word 'the cheating cunt's baby' a few paragraphs above).

The mistake is thinking that LW people don't want what you're writing. They clearly do. 14 favourites in 24 hours is a great number. It's just there are always 'those' people to downvote you and make horrible comments. Between the interracial aspects, the small penis humiliation, the willing cuckoldry and the fact it's happening on the honeymoon, you've certainly given them enough to froth at the mouth over.

Thank you. You're right I got 14 fav. That's a huge number for day one.

LW is a category with about four different factions all vying for what they want to read.

1. the Burn the Bitch crowd - they want the cheating wife to get burned, divorce, kicked out of the house, etc.
2. the Reconciliation at all Costs crowd - they want everyone to be happy and loving. Husband always keeps the cheating wife.
3. the I don't want to read about extramarital sex stories
4. all the others readers of loving wives stories who don't like anything.

Then there are the trolls that just go through the LW stories and 1-bomb them without even reading them.

I have many LW stories, some are BTB, some are RAAC, some are just a couple enjoying each other. All have their detractors, they also have their fans.

I wrote a loving wives story and holy shit, I never got this much of comments before any one of my best story. Here is the story: https://literotica.com/s/honeymoon-cuckold-pt-01
Pls someone tell me what's wrong with this story line.
Most of my stories are of a swinger couple in "the lifestyle", and some are posted in LW. I've posted a few in other categories to learn the differences with those audiences.

For the vociferous LW crowd, they hate any extra-marital FUN stories. In some of my stories, the husband is the one having the most fun (ie. Lifestyle Ch. 05: Newbies), and they still hate it. My latest chapter (Lifestyle Ch. 12 - The Bar Group) has an ending with the wife lying beside her husband as another woman rides him, and that story has done even worse (rated 2.03 with 58 votes).

But I continue to post in LW because those trolls have their perverted form of entertainment in throwing out 1-bomb rating and hateful comments. You just need a different appreciation of how your story is affecting your audience.

Keep up the good work!

I'm not posting any stories in that category. I think they don't deserve any freebies at all. Do you guys block them? I never block anyone in here but I think I should.

I add your story in my reading later list. The tags look very hot to read. I think no story deserve 1*. There are only two possible outcomes: either you like it or you cum so hard. Otherwise, you should stop reading halfway through the story and look for another good story. I think they just can't accept their role. We should take interview of their sex life and write stories.:ROFLMAO:

I had one story posted to the LW category, and wow, the hate crowd really took off on me. This in spite of "Cuckold" being in the title, and an opening remark that if this offends you, perhaps you shouldn't read it. Most of the venom was from that most upstanding commenter, "anonymous". Most of it was aimed at me, as a person, and my wife, who must be the scum of the earth. Relax people, this is "fiction." I'm not sure why Lit. cannot come up with a "Cuckold" category. Not sure it will get rid of the unhappy trolls, but it can't hurt.

I agreed with you. And they also should set the parameters for every single category. Is there any guide for the categories?

I think Zeb and some of the others said everything you need to know about Loving Wives. The comments are usually worse than the voting and favorites would seem to indicate. You got a bit more than average perhaps of negative comments, but it didn't set a record probably. However, for sheet numbers of comments, if one wants that, that's the place to go!

Most of us can't take a steady diet of that kind of thing, of course. So you can move the next chapter to another category (erotic couplings?) and that should be fine. You probably don't need to block any of them because my guess that is that most of them immediately forgot what they wrote and moved on. Sometimes there is an underlying paranoia (I've had twinges of it) that they will continue to lurk around and down-vote one's later stories. I can't say if there is any truth or not in that. You can block them if it makes you feel more comfortable.

Thank you. Would you tell me about erotic couplings?

One thing I can add and thus butt further into your business!

You probably don't need to be too "apologetic" (if that is the correct way to put it) in your disclaimers and profile. Many of us have done things like that, especially when trying something new - no one likes being misunderstood. However, as in other aspects of life, it's best to minimize them. Just put the story out there, and let it rip (see what happens).

You can engage readers on their comments if you feel like you have something to say. However, most of them won't answer (they've moved on). Once in a while, you may get a private message (they seem to be called "conversations" now) and those are usually positive. It's more likely that you may get a longer set of back-and-forth interactions on those.

It's a fairly broad category that includes many heterosexual activities. Anything that is distinctively about gay, lesbian, or BDSM (even rather mild, vanilla versions) activities should go into those categories.

The line between Romance and Erotic Couplings can get fuzzy. I sometimes put stories about break-ups (there are a lot of those happening!) in Non-erotic rather than Romance just to keep the Romance readers off my back (they often want happily-ever-afters).

This person gives a fairly complete essay about categories (it's probably the best guide that you asked about):

https://classic.literotica.com/s/love-your-readers-categories

I've had stories or chapters where people merely talk about sex rather than actually doing it. Those don't seem to fit into erotic couplings, so they can be difficult to place. I've tried both Romance and Non-erotic with varying degrees of success.

You are experiencing what almost every author experiences in that category who writes a story about a woman having sex outside marriage and enjoying it. The category was initially started precisely for that sort of story, but it's been invaded by an extremely vocal crowd of readers who hate those stories, let you know how much they hate them (and you), and downvote your story (and in some cases your other stories, so beware).

I agree in particular with what The Red Chamber said: despite the venom of some of the comments, there are many readers of this category who DO want to read stories about extramarital fun, and this is the category to publish those stories if you want to connect with those readers and get favorites. If you can put up with nasty comments and low scores it's the best place for these stories.

I'm scared now:ROFLMAO:. Thank you for your reply.

One of my favorite categories that's been absolutely messed up by some of the most idiotic people. Frankly they have trouble discerning between fiction and real stories which most of us learn in early elementary school. It's no wonder that many of them have been dumped over the years.

Literotica should initial a new category for them.

You can delete comments by visiting your Profile in Stories/Works then look to the right for a speech bubble on the story title. That reveals the comments and there's trash can to the right again, where they often deserve to be. Have fun zapping.
I think I'm right in saying you can only choose to block comments when you upload the story - it's an option.

Sorry that you've been bloodied by LW but it sounds like you have the right attitude towards them :)

If the readers in loving wives understood what they wanted, they wouldn't be hand fucking incels. They'd still be married to those who hurt and traumatized them to their souls, minus the hurt and trauma because they'd have treated them like people, not property. But they are incels, and incels being morons, what can you expect. I'll tell you what, hateful, nasty comments if you displease them and expose their absence of self-worth. I mean, my god, they are incels, right?
