My theory is that they do fake accounts pretending to be women because deep inside they like men but they're not ready to come to terms with their sexuality or their curiosity.

This makes sense, but then why PM a potentially bi-curious woman?

Some are into men but not ready to admit it. Some are just trying to get a woman to talk dirty to them, and don’t care if the woman is into them at all. Some are full blown predators trying to score pics or other details with which to exploit people.
