the lit forum is very slow for me (laptop computer via router/wifi) and it's the only site where i am experiencing that today

I seem to be logged, (as a "virgin" with almost 3,000 posts....so, whatever that means) but am NOT allowed to post in the forum... Is this something new ?

anyway tried a few more tricks and have managed to post a reply... its all very slow and wonky. Took me a while to figure out [ toggle BB code]. Sometime I get a notice " cannot post from this website" ( why?) and yet I can from others...

I long for the old days, it was so easy

When I try to use the search feature without adding text no results are listed. I select the category and contest winners no results are return. Would it be possible to allow the search to work without adding text just to find story winners, editors choice or most popular in a particular category?

Still glitching on my tagline. It accepts it and displays it on my main lit profile page but still won't transfer over to the forum.

New wrinkle... now every time I come to the forums I get the new look yet my option have the old look selected. I click the login and it takes me to my author dashboard which shows that I'm already logged on. I go back to the forum and bingo, not logged on, new forum look. I come here and bam, I'm logged on and I get the old forum look. I can then go to the main forum page and everything is back to normal.

I leave lit, yes I know I probably shouldn't do that, and when I come back it all screwed up again.

This seems to be a problem with the forum header not detecting the login on the first page(s) right after you login. You should actually be logged in, the forum just doesn't know it. If you click to another page in the forum, or even reload the page you are on, it should show you are logged in. We are investigating why the forum isn't seeing that users are logged in on the first page they visit after logging in now.

Sorry for the confusion and hopefully it should be resolved soon.

Sure, he’s able to reply and sometimes does. He’s also been posting here since they created the forums (so 23 years?) and has fewer than 1300 posts. All of the posts complaining about him not replying seem silly to me. He doesn’t owe anyone a response. Post here to notify about an issue and expect that the post will be read.

2.) Recently, I’ll log in but it won’t show any of my stuff unless I click on a link.

I can say for #1, you will always see the green dot on your own profile, even when others see you as not online. For example, right now, you show as not online to me.

that is only one way if you own all the rights to publish the pictures on your hard drive (according to the law of the usa - because that's where the lit servers are) you can attach them to your posting either (a) by clicking View attachment 2169464 and then View attachment 2169466 or (b) by clickingView attachment 2169465at the bottom of the text box and following it through
