I believe it's thread counts. Always seems to be the PeeGee that locks up first and that's the board with the bigger threads.


I say cease the mega threads and go back to the 5K limit. We can do that voluntarily.

Three things haven't carried over into this new software:

Option to choose number of posts per page.
Option to choose to attach a .sig on each individual post.
Link to go from here to the story side of Literotica.

Are they hidden somewhere in the machinery, or were they thrown in the skip during the rebuilding work?

Edit: In fact, looking at an old SRP story, it appears that the .sig file has been retrospectively attached to previous posts where it was specifically disabled.

that one is in the 'explore' thing on top of the stuff (the sign that looks like an open book - it's the uppermost item there)

was there the possibility to have individual sigs for every post?
you can still have a signature and there's still the ability to make sigs visible/invisible

Yes, at the point of posting there was a yes/no option to 'attach signature to this post'. That has now gone and my .sig file has appeared on every post I've previously made. It's very intrusive in a SRP and breaks up the flow of the narrative.

The forum just stopped working on my laptop. I log in just fine but It throws me offline anytime I try to click on the forums. It’s working on the cell though. Does anyone have an idea what might be the problem? This is the first time that has happened with me.

Mine was taking me from the control panel (logged in) to the forum (logged out). I refreshed the browser in the forum and I was logged in.

It's working now but I did nothing. Like you it was taking me to the control panel to the forum logged out. Now it seems we're back to normal. Probably they are doing some technical work or there was a glitch or smth.

So trim it down. It's supposed to be a signature, not a fucking novel. Do you write all that on every check you sign?

you have the option for the forum to show all sigs to you or to keep them invisible for you and you can change your signature and make it shorter (if you change it you'll have to shorten it immensely) js

Is anyone having a problem with the message board on their phone? When I click the LOGIN link, it shows the gray box with the spinning circles and then this. Tried a couple different browsers and cleaned out cache, data, etc.

New wrinkle... now every time I come to the forums I get the new look yet my option have the old look selected. I click the login and it takes me to my author dashboard which shows that I'm already logged on. I go back to the forum and bingo, not logged on, new forum look. I come here and bam, I'm logged on and I get the old forum look. I can then go to the main forum page and everything is back to normal.

I leave lit, yes I know I probably shouldn't do that, and when I come back it all screwed up again.

everywhere else in the forum you'll be shown as logged in though

The log in is messed up. It's taking me multiple trues to log in every time I visit.

Yes, this is happening to me too.

Also, I am finding that yesterday and today I do not stay logged in. I’m having to log in every time I visit the site which is not typical.

The problem with no longer being able to go straight to the forums mentioned in recent postings by others in this thread is happening to me also.

What I have found, through trial and error, is that if I simply click on any forum posting by any user in the list on the right hand side of the screen, it takes me straight to the forums and recognizes me (I don't have to log-in).

Initially, what you see on the screen looks a lot worse than it really is, and don't waste your time trying to log in. Getting to the forums is only one extra click. Buggy? Yes. A major problem? Not once you find your way around it.

I guess I noticed some of that this morning. I clicked on Watched Threads and it went to the Conrtrol Panel. Did that twice. But then I clicked on a thread, then Watched Threads and it was OK. Just didn't consider it an issue, thought maybe overnight maintenance tossed a cookie.

I'm having the problem logging in as well as getting to the forums.

Not impressed with the random format changes highly annoying. Luckily can get back to the remotely sane format I had gotten used to.

I think, of EVERYTHING else, the biggest problem this new forum has is the regular

"Oops, there was a problem."

What is that all about, and why does it still happen on so often? The old forum never gave that message.

It's really annoying to get that message after writing a long post for a roleplay, because typically it means you've lost most or all of what you've written.
