I say really depends on the break. There are breaks that you can still have mobility without pain.
Yes, but axial and crush injuries / fractures are the most common on the great toe. And most fractures would be accompanied by a good deal of swelling. Short of a hairline fracture, she wouldn't really have anything to worry about.

So, anyone got any plans for the weekend? I'm going to be stuck at home so I have to live vicariously through you folks

I got in a fight as a kid. Went to the school nurse. She called my mother. The nurse told my mother to have it checked out as she thought it was broken. My wonderfully incompetent mother waits a week. The doc looks at it. Takes a few X-rays.
Yep. It’s broken. We are going to have to rebreak it and set it.
He rebroke it. No pain meds. Just snapped it.
Ouch! I'm really sorry that happened to you. My littlest sister fractured her arm at school once and we got the nurse fired for making her go back to class. But in all fairness I guess she has a pretty damn good pain tolerance because she didn't let out a peep the whole time they were taking x-rays and wrapping it. She's gonna grow up to be a little badass and I couldn't be more proud. 😂

That's pretty BA! How old was she?

I was 7th grade when it happened.
Doc snapped my broken knuckle. I pulled my hand away. Held it to my chest. The doc was taking to my mother. His back to me. The nurse put her hand on my shoulder said… it’s ok if you want to cry.
I looked at the doc and said. I’m ok but he really might want to leave
I gues he saw the look I had on my face. I guess he figured he should go get some paperwork done. When an almost 6’ 7 th grader wanted to smack him.

I'd have cried like a baby
At that age I probably would have too. Not so much anymore. A couple months ago I stepped on a huge hunk of glass and bled everywhere. The paramedics thought I might pass out but I was totally fine and more concerned about getting out of a math test. 😅 Ended up getting four stitches, apparently your foot has a lot of nerve endings because the doctor told me I could cuss him out if I needed to before he sewed me up. I got numbing too.😂
