I'm struggling to find the chaos thread this morning after being off line for the last week. Put a lot of miles on, saw some amazing country and now have to get at lists of things that must get done timely.

So sorry to read of such loss and grief here. Hugs to those who are experiencing important grief anniversaries and feeling the pain of loss. the holes in our hearts our loved ones leave never fully heal.

LOL. Thanks. I'm a skinny, 53-year-old dude. Alas, I have zero pictures of me in my prime. People were generally complimentary about my pictures, and that was nice. Mostly, they couldn't believe I was still using a flip-phone!

The thing was, those were BAD pictures. I have an obsolete flip-phone, and had to find an adapter to get the pics from my phone onto my PC.

I wont even put my dog in her crate. She just looks at me sad, and ends up in bed with me eating chips.

My dog loves his crate. It's his safe place and he goes there of his own volition. it is NEVER punishment.
Because I understand it as a safe place, it has some resonance for me in a kinky way too.

I don’t have to crate mine either anymore. We are very proud of her- really calmed down since she turned 11 .
I haven’t needed to be kenneled (?) as of late either. Metaphorically speaking of course. All my energy exists in my mind so at worst I will just not shut up. I’ve never ripped up the garbage or anything

My dog had to go in there when she would be alone and she has come to see it as a safe place too. She goes in there on her own now but doesn’t need to be crated when we leave anymore. Good girl.
