lordy, young me used to say that I'd settle down, get married, have kids etc, "when I am old and decrepit, like 30". young me was such a bitch. I thought I'd be sitting in a rocking chair knitting cat sweaters by now lol.

do you ever like truly forget, then it hits you. Like talking with a friend you've know since junior high, and they start telling you about the new man in their life, and they are like and he is 49. Then I gasp and am like omg that is so old, then oh wait, nevermind, I forgot that we are old again, nothing to see here, please continue.

This reminded me of when I was first conscious of my dad's age, he was 31, I was 6, maybe I'd just started doing subtraction or something 🤷 but I remember thinking that was forever away, now I'm 36 and almost one of the "older people" I think it was phrased, time flies. I just wish I'd become rich by now like 6 year old me had planned 🤔
