January 6th Prosecution vs. Trump - Loving Updates

^^^ Yeah, the whole “we lost some select emails during an upgrade” doesn’t pass the smell test.

Our deputies and Troopers often use phones instead of a radio for any number of reasons. Heavy traffic is one if they need to contact a specific person during a time when others are on the radio.

We all know you can tap out a quick text faster and easier than calling or using a radio to make contact and wait for a reply.

Matthew Pottinger, who served on former President Donald Trump's National Security Council before resigning in the immediate aftermath of January 6, 2021, is expected to testify publicly at Thursday's prime-time hearing held by the House select committee investigating the US Capitol attack, according to multiple sources familiar with the plans.
Pottinger is slated to appear alongside former Trump White House aide Sarah Matthews.

Boy, that Bannon sure is an arrogant pig. I'm glad they are not going to let him grandstand at the J6 hearings. He needs to go off to a corner and wear his pointed (white) hat.

evidence continues to flood in, meaning this committee will still be doing its work for some while.
Additionally, writes Politico, committee members "are emboldened by the public reaction to the information they’re unearthing about the former president’s actions" and that new hearings will continue "even past November."
J6 Committee member Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-CA) tells Politico that "we're going to spring through the finish" and says that the committee is still conducting interviews with new people who have not yet testified.

Former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne appeared before the committee last week to discuss former President Donald Trump potentially declaring martial law in a bid to seize voting machines, and the so-far-unidentified driver of Trump's SUV on January 6th, 2021 is reportedly "engaging with the committee about testimony."

they are likely to still put out a report in November, but will continue gathering information which i'm supposing may be of use to DOJ investigations/potential indictments.

Looking for the DOJ to do its work on this. Until it does, the adage "No one is above the law" is just bluster.

SS expected to say they've found no further texts regarding jan 6th. however, seems the NARA isn't just going to sit back and let that one slide on past just on the word of the SS... which goes to show how trust in these types of bodies is now so eroded:
In its letter on Tuesday, the NARA wrote that "if it is determined that any text messages have been improperly deleted" -- "regardless of their relevance" to Jan. 6 investigations -- "then the Secret Service must send NARA a report within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter with a report documenting the deletion."

"This report must include a complete description of the records affected, a statement of the exact circumstances surrounding the deletion of messages, a statement of the safeguards established to prevent further loss of documentation, and details of all agency actions taken to salvage, retrieve, or reconstruct the records," NARA wrote.

You had a chance not to come off as a creepy douchecanoe with your new name. Instead, you've continued the idiotic stalking of your betters.

“Sorry, but President Biden’s dog, Champ ate the records. Due to his coincidental death, he cannot give testimony.”

Tune in for the final prime time episode. Goldston’s last chance…

There has been multiple criminal offenses laid out for referral. Whether they refer it or not is the question.

Trump and many in his administration knew about and were part of the planning of the assault on the Capitol. And when given the opportunity to call it off, they declined to until long after the damage was done.

The sub drop you girls are going to have…. So much aftercare will be needed.

Turley explains it quite clearly. They have not established a criminal case against Trump. Good luck Thursday night.

The Secret Service turned over just one text message to the House January 6 committee on Tuesday, in response to a subpoena compelling the production of all communications from the day before and the day of the US Capitol attack, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
The Secret Service told the panel the single text was the only message responsive to the subpoena, the sources said, and while the agency vowed to conduct a forensic search for any other text or phone records, it indicated such messages were likely to prove irrecoverable.
House investigators also learned that the texts were seemingly lost as part of an agency-wide reset of phones on 27 January 2021, the sources said – 11 days after Congress first requested the communications and two days after agents were reminded to back up their phones.

former FBI, now teacher at Yale, has a suggestion about another way to discover more:

Rangappa suggested that if the House Select Committee investigating Jan. 6 wants to know about the behaviors of former deputy chief of staff Anthony Ornato and Special Agent in Charge Robert 'Bobby' Engel, who was the chief of Trump's security, they should subpoena the communications they engaged in during Hutchinson's public testimony. "Not as good as Jan. 6 but could offer some real-time insight into how they reacted to her account," tweeted Rangappa. "Or have those texts disappeared too."

Yes they have, and I honestly think it is downright treasonous that anyone can still defend him at this point. I mean, what would he have to do to convince you people of his guilt? Videotape himself raping a six year old? The fact that you people still defend him at this point is really fucking mind-blowing. The guy committed treason- open and shut case.

Political witch hunt fog of war.
Thinking he’s a crook isn’t enough to convict.
Silly rabbit, political trix are for hacks.

Not defending his behavior. Pointing out the reality that no criminal case has been presented. Frankly nothing substantively new wrt to any potential criminal case.

The mouth foamers have trouble with that whole rule of law thing.
