So being chased, and violently attacked for no reason as Kyle attempts to flee from that situation which the attackers initiated - Kyle didn't initiate anything. So, in your "humble" opinion Kyle should have just stopped, and dropped all defensive postures and just allowed his attackers to maim or murder him and not protect himself - I guess you provide the same advice in you "humble" opinion to rape victims 'Close your eyes and think of England'.With the exception of one, they were all unarmed. IMHO he had no need to shoot. KR could have had a semi auto .308 ( I could name two dozen other rifles that would have worked just as well), and done just the same. Or a Glock ( how many handguns? the list is extremely long..maybe a 1911? eh?) ..he had no need of an AR-15. Your statement is useless as a reason for having the AR-15....same for the Korean's plenty of other weapons that would have done the same job.
Good thing that Kyle didn't take your advice and instead followed the law and protected himself from 4 people with a history of violently attacking others.
So skateboard guy, and head stomper with heavy boots were armed??
Skateboards have a long history of being used as dangerous weapons that can kill or maim

as for your statement about AR-15 vs other self defense choices, handgun vs rifle or rifle vs rifle the AR-15 has a long history (over 70 years) of effective self-defense; also you may not be aware that typically the .308 Win is more powerful a caliber than the .223 Rem (AR-15) - So you're suggesting in your "humble" opinion that Kyle's AR-15 .223 caliber may not have been enough for his self-defense and that he might have needed a larger caliber.
