One of America's foremost constitutional law experts believes that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) will be disqualified for office following Thursday's hearing by the House Select Committee Investigating the Jan 6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Laurence Tribe, who has taught constitutional law to generations of America's top lawyers at Harvard Law School, offered his analysis on Twitter following the hearing.

'In seeking a pardon for her role in the insurrection, the pathetic [Greene] confessed her disqualification from ever again holding public office, per Sec3 of the 14th Amendment," Tribe wrote.

For people who believe in the rule of law, You’re effectively left with a 1 party system, which is basically tyranny.

(We have the beginnings of the same thing in Canada…. The Conservatives are split between total nutjobs and unelectable near-nutjobs….and a flawed Liberal party that shouldn’t get re-elected but probably will.)

The idea that hearings that are revealing that this was worse than we imagined is not small potatoes. This is really stuff that can change actual lives, this isn't Will Smith smacking Chris Rock or even O.J. Simpson murdering Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman. That was theater.

We right now are testing if we are a nation of laws or a nation of men or some blend. I happen to ultimately like being a nation of "men" which doesn't mean we don't have law and order. IT means if something seems stupid we should discuss an update.
