January 6th Prosecution vs. Trump - Loving Updates

Call me cynical if you like, but I don’t think Google ranks Lit very high for people searching for political insights.
I don't think many use any search engine. They go for support of their delusions and ignore anything else.

The Political Forum is the animal park Butters and Friends had built so they can come over and poke the loonies through the fence.

:)

I’m on Lit mostly for the laughs…and online behavior is a field of interest to me.

(I’d also wager I know more about politics than the C&P-ers here.)
Nahhh. You're on Lit because you want us all to know how clever you think you are, and you probably don't have much of an off-line life. But what mainly comes across is your cynicism, resentment of Butters, and attitude of Canadian superiority.

Don't hold your breath on that Canadian superiority-- way down deep Canada has all the elements of the racist and xenophobic cancer that is eating away at the USA.

You’re right about the Canadian Superiority… by every measure, it’s a better place to live.

“What happened in the fall of 2020 is that 28,000 Georgians skipped the presidential race and yet they voted down-ballot in other races,” Raffensperger told the House panel. “The Republican congressmen ended up getting 33,000 more votes than President Trump. And that’s why President Trump came up short.”
But Raffensperger gets at a simpler answer: Trump was simply less popular than other Republican candidates.

It’s a simpler answer … and it’s an answer that is demonstrable with data.

how a ginger mint aided giuliani's deceits...
“The tape earlier in the day of Ruby Freeman and Shaye Freeman Moss and one other gentleman, quite obviously surreptitiously passing around USB ports as if they’re vials of heroin or cocaine,” Giuliani said in the clip, as if to draw a connection between illicit drugs and the two women, who are Black.

“I mean it’s obvious to anyone who is a criminal investigator or a prosecutor, they are engaged in surreptitious, illegal activity that day, again that day,” he continued. “And after a week ago, they’re still walking around Georgia lying.”
what with non-existent "suitcases" (which were, in fact, properly designated ballot boxes with seals) and now usb ports that are actually ginger mints, giuliani's fabricated the whole story from incredibly despicable lies that have ruined the lives of 2 election workers, harmed a third (one's grandmother), and caused all of the regular election workers at this state farm venue to quit volunteering ever again.

See what happens, Butters, when you spread lies about people?

You made everyone put everyone on ignore and destroyed the GB.

in an interview before the tuesday hearings, bowers said this:

Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers, a Republican who refused to go along with former President Donald Trump’s effort to overturn the 2020 election, said that he would support him were he to run in 2024.

“If he is the nominee, if he was up against [Joe] Biden, I’d vote for him again,” he told the Associated Press on Monday in an interview published on Tuesday. “Simply because what he did the first time, before COVID, was so good for the county. In my view it was great.”
this is the sort of disconnect that amazes me. While i applaud his bravery against threats and pressure and upheld his oath of office, he knew trump was behind the pressure put on him to do something illegal and DEFINITELY against his own view of his constitutional oath. He saw what happened leading up to, during, and post jan.6th's insurrection attempt... and yet he'd STILL vote for trump. Has he changed his mind after finding out trump directly lied about him in a tuesday morning piece just before the committee hearings? somehow, i doubt it. HOW can he think that what happened jan 6th, such an attack on the values of the American republican democracy, and its fallout, how can he think that's worth anything 'great' trump did for America 'before Covid'? How can he chance trump doing something as bad if not worse in the future?

Thursday's hearing should still be a go, but due to massive influx of evidence to go over the rest of the hearings likely to be delayed till July, after a 2 week House recess.

Lawmakers plan to hold a fifth hearing Thursday, but committee chair Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) told Politico and CNN all subsequent hearings will likely be delayed until after the House’s two-week recess, which is set to begin at the end of this week.
Thompson said the committee needs a break to look at evidence unearthed in recent weeks, including tapes from Alex Holder, a British filmmaker who was reportedly subpoenaed by lawmakers after capturing videos of Trump and his family.

In a statement Tuesday, Holder said he began filming Trump and his allies in September 2020 for a documentary on the final weeks of the presidential race: Holder claims he interviewed Trump, his children, his son-in-law Jared Kushner and Vice President Mike Pence, and captured footage from “before and after the events of January 6th.”

I think Republicans will always be the Party of Greed. It's just that a few of them still believe that they should get elected in a bona fide manner.

Very few...

What? Those rabid hyenas nipping at Trump’s heels are taking a two week break? I guess they’re not as motivated as Fox News wants you to believe.

more likely the TV Producer running the kangaroo court needs more time to selective edit the thousands of hours of videos that are exonerating, these selective edits will then be polished for Prime Time viewing to match the democrats narrative

By definition, it is not a "kangaroo court" when the evidence is video-recorded and in many cases comes directly from the mouths of the alleged perpetrators. Trump and Giuliani continue to implicate themselves in the continuous and deliberate lying about the results of a Presidential election, and targeting innocent people in the process.

The only analogy to kangaroos is the image of Giuliani continuing to ride the kangaroo pouch of Trump as he continues to implicate himself in leaps and bounds. Thanks for evoking that image, and hope you can recover from your brain-washing within this lifetime.

Those whose testimony we’ve heard so far have mostly been Republicans. It’s their narrative.

This whole "Kangaroo Court" thing is beyond asinine. It's like complaining that Osama Bin Laden and Tim McVeigh were tried by a "partisan kangaroo court" for their crimes. I mean, you guys seriously can't be for real with that bullshit.

I'm pretty sure they're not, just like they know the election wasn't really stolen. But it's what sells with the deplorables!
