We were busy reading Irish literature and poetry.

Remember Peig @ShaneoD ? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
I didn't have that one, The Plough and the Stars feels like a bit of a cop out in comparison. Also when am I ever going to need those 42 poems again or to know Macbeth or Wuthering Heights religiously, Heathcliff was a right bastard come to think of it 🀣🀣......I almost forgot My Left Foot for the film.

Good thing there's doctor patient confidentiality. I hate my brain for thinking this but exactly how many pictures would you need to prove it happened πŸ€”
More like good thing he's rich. You figure if it was before 96 it would have predated hipaa. And if there was an act of animal cruelty involved that would allow the hospital to notify the police. I like to think it's true. He's just Rich enough, just weird enough, and the Rumours lasted just long enough for me to believe it

Just one could probably shop something up really quick haha
I remember thinking it'd be hard to get a pic with his face and the evidence in the same shot. Then I thought if the press got a hold of the bill for the surgery, I'd just say "fuck that, they sent me the wrong bill" I may have thought about this a bit too much πŸ€”

Is the Plough and Stars a poem? I know it as a good pub in Cambridge, MA πŸ˜‚

Did anybody question local pet store owners?

I thought everyone in Ireland had to read Peig. You had a lucky escape!

I remember reading 1984, Animal Farm, Brave New World and Lord Jim for leaving cert English.

I was telling myself I'd missed a load of books there, I remember our very attractive English teacher telling us that one of the female poets was attracted to the same sex, you've never seen so many teenage boys eager to read poetry

We were told there was a sex scene in Peig, towards the end, it was the only way to get us to finish the bloody book!
