Chaos... to be continued

It’s funny but sad… I have a friend with a BA in history and she can barely find a job making little more than minimum wage.
Yup... I'm so lucky I graduated when I did, and that I had student jobs in offices, otherwise I would have been absolutely screwed with my degree in philosophy! 🤣

Right? I think my mother might have even suggested I not go to school right away... but at the time, I didn't know how else to get out of my parents' house & have a little independence, so that wasn't going to happen!
I did the same to escape an emotionally abusive situation. I have no regrets, the debt was worth it for me 🥰

Now where would the fun be in listening to parents!?🤣🤣
I did. Got a good degree from the uni. They didn't tell me which major, though, or which university... I'm an engineer, and I think I should be a mathematician instead. Would still go back to the uni if I had enough energy and enough money to live on for 3 years...

Yea there was this article I was reading yesterday where this lady had 150k in loans but since she wasn't even paying off the interest with payments she now owes 250k😮😓
The trick, is to stay in school. Further your education, prolonging the payment dates until retirement, then promptly die so that you don't have to pay them. At least that's my plan

It's okay it was a lot of things piled up. I don't waste my love or energy on people who won't for me.
Love eyes for you being a badass and an awesome person, not the shitty situation.
It’s really sad that we equate higher learning to job prospects … higher learning should be about just that … learning. Fuck our stupid system of selling our physical labor for life necessities like food and shelter.
Hear hear! And not everyone needs higher learning! I swear, some of the jobs I see that *insist* on a 4 year degree are ridiculous. Like, I can't learn how to answer a multi-line phone without a degree???

My parents pushed me out the door to go away to college. Then I came home and finished up the next three years and as soon as I graduated, they booted me out. I wanted to stay and save and get a nest egg, but they wanted their independence! 😂

Well they never pushed trade schools when I was in school either. I applied for a lead stock boy position at a Target, and I found out I needed a bachelor's degree.

Exactly!!! … life should be about communities working together for the common goal of everyone living their best life… learning for the sake of learning.
