If you go straight to university, or to university at all... I shouldn't have gone directly from high school, that's for sure! I really would have done better to have the real world to kick my ass a bit first Especially since my parents were extremely generous and paid my and my sister's student loans for us.

I let the Army kick my ass a bit before I went to college... thought about it right after HS but didn't want that debt. Now got a graduate degree and no student loans

I definitely wouldn't have made it in the military... I didn't need my ass kicked quite that much! But I should have worked full time for a bit, then maybe started at community college. Then I could have halved my student loans.

Right? I think my mother might have even suggested I not go to school right away... but at the time, I didn't know how else to get out of my parents' house & have a little independence, so that wasn't going to happen!

It’s funny but sad… I have a friend with a BA in history and she can barely find a job making little more than minimum wage.
