My understanding is that Disney also tends to many services and infrastructure within their territory that will become the responsibility of the state.

I'm pretty sure that movie never came out, it wouldn't have been but so "woke". Netflix raised their prices, canceled a bunch of projects people were looking forward to and cracked down on people who were sharing passwords with their friends and family. It had nothing to do with one movie, if it had 'Cuties' would have been the end of that service entirely but it wasn't. What's notable is 'Cuties' really was high key sexualizing young children and you didn't hear a peep out of the Right. Because that's not a a priority of theirs. Its just a slur for when they have run out of actual arguments to make.

Interesting though, the way you describe corporate fascism sounds like you should by definition be against 'Citizen's United' which would be MUCH MUCH closer to what you're describing than anything Disney did. They made a statement. Could I trust you to attack In n' Out, Chik-fi-la or Hobbby Lobby for being strongly pro-Christian? Or do you want to join in on bashing Walmart and the War on Christmas they wage every year by acknowledging Thanksgiving, Hannukauh, New Years and in on time twenty plus years ago they pretended there were people who celebrate Kwanzaa and Solstice. ( I mean in large enough numbers that if you spoke to the next thousand people to pass through a Walmart that you'd run into someone who celebrated one of those at random. Not that you can't hop on Facebook and find a local Wiccan circle near you.)

This order SHOULD be found Unconstitutional on its face anyway. We'll see how the courts see it and its probably going to end up being one of those times where I remember state rights were a stupid idea two an a half centuries ago and they are an even worse idea now.

Disneyland was built in Anaheim CA before Walt bought land in Fl for Disney World. He learned some valuable lessons from his experience in CA.

Part of the deal he made with local government in Fl was that Disney would be responsible for funding a lot of its own infrastructure and governance which would help streamline the approval process for a lot of the park’s construction. Another conservative wet dream. You’d think the GOP would be crowing about their success, but no. They want to make laws about how Americans live and raise their families so bad that they are willing to throw one of the best models of economic privatization in America under the bus in order to make their opinions laws.

Actually guys how is this NOT a violation of the US Constitution on its face? I mean its not like DeSantis and friends aren't clearly stating that "Disney got out of their lane." If they'd kept their mouths shut they could have made up some arbitrary bullshit about it was supposed sunset or they felt Disney was financially able or what not. However words mean things and when you say "They stepped out of line, so we took away their special status" you are making it very, very clear that this has nothing to do with leveling the playing field. A few of them have quoted that Sea World, aquariums, and museums don't get these special privileges. Ignoring that those things don't require a quarter of the infrastructure that Disney World does that's not why they are doing it.

Its also rich they are want to be upset with the Left who are normally against businesses getting this or that. Which isn't even entirely true. I've no problem subsidizing green energy. Or lots of other kinds of sciences. Hell I wouldn't mind funding a year for for 19 year olds to go on a world tour. Can't be any more expensive than funding the military and considering how useful speaking other languages would be (God we got slammedd with nobody speaks Arabic) that might a good use of some cash.
