I've read that there is a lawsuit to disqualify her under the 14th Amendment (under a clause meant to prevent ex-Confederate pols from serving in Congress), but I can't speculate as to its prospects -- it is, AFAIK, completely unprecedented.

I thought I read that this proceeding is based on a provision in the Georgia state constitution and that after the administrative judge writes his conclusions, the ultimate decision lies with the GA Secretary of State.

Taking a sitting member of Congress and candidate for re-election off the ballot because words she said would no doubt set a precedent in the state. I’m sure the SoS is thinking about that. Also his own political future. He’s a Republican who has already incurred the wrath of Trump and his supporters.

If the judge recommends dismissing the whole thing, he’s got an easy out.

I concur, but for a different reason. Trump is a malignant narcissist. They're good at lying because 1) they're able to convince themselves that anything they want to be true, is true; and 2) they don't feel any guilt about it the way you and I would.
