Amazing how the Left is ignoring this

What does the Left have anything to do with this or care? Also, it happened like 10 minutes ago, RAPEY. Also, also, Musk isn't the RWCJ savior, he hates you fools as much as anyone.

Nobody is ignoring anything. It's been all overy Twitter (left and right focused) all day.

He means us Litsters haven't flooded the board with complaints about this.

It might not be a bad idea in today's social media climate to vote for the deal and cash out.

Smart liberals understand that Twitter is not a public square
But it is recognized as such, even by Twitter. They wouldn't have canceled Trump and many other conservatives if they didn't think doing so had a major effect on public sentiment in ways that could get their candidate elected.

Only smart liberals understand their power to end free speech in the public square may be coming to an end.
That sounds like a damn good reason to pick some of these companies and nationalize them. Cus you are making a point but you don't offer a solution.

The private company recognized that it had a responsibility to society.

Still not a public square, else the taxpayers would own it and Musk would be SoL

The last thing we need is to nationalize anything. Government is big enough.

The point is dummy, they are already in cahoots with the Democrat government. They are already acting as protectors of the Democrat Party in power from public criticism on their huge platform. This is Soviet Union type censorship of stuff that you seem to favor.

And then, there are some of us LW'ers (as well as some of the RW'ers) who don't give a fuck. I'm don't use twitter, face book, skype or whatever. Got better things to do.

So it's not about the public square and free speech at all....it's just about the Democratic party....got it

While there is a place for censorship that is hardly the point. They are not in cahoots with the Democrat Government which isn't even a real thing.

Like I said, you've made a fantastic case for nationalitation but since that's obviously not what you want we should just ignore it the way we do all the things we don't like but annoys us.

Well now, look who is opposed to the Musk offer:

AMERICAN NEWS Apr 14, 2022 9:08 AM EST

BREAKING: Twitter shareholder Saudi Prince Al Waleed rejects Musk's bid to take over platform

Al Waleed holds over 5 percent of Twitter's shares after a stock buy in 2015. He said the offer simply wasn't high enough, given the potential for the platform's growth.

The Insider Paper reported on Twitter on Thursday that one large Twitter shareholder, Saudi Prince Al Waleed, has rejected Elon Musk's large, $43 billion offer to buy the company outright and take it private.

Al Waleed holds over 5 percent of Twitter's shares after a stock buy in 2015. This includes his own holdings, as well as those held by his investment company Kingdom Holding Company. He made the buy while Twitter was struggling to grow outside the US.

Al Waleed said the offer simply wasn't high enough, given the potential for the platform's growth. It was reported Al Waleed had sold much of his shares, and that he is no longer one of the top shareholders.

The only case for the nationalization of any American company is typically made by socialist totalitarians like yourself. Not by me.
