I've got a story that is absolutely, without a doubt, Sci-Fi. But I want to illustrate it as well. How do I include pictures in between paragraphs and can I do this without putting it in the Illustrated category?

I think so. But, if you think about it, that makes no sense.

But many things make no sense.

PM Laurel and ask the question.

So far as I am aware, all illustrated stories go into that category and only that category, and get special handling - batches done every x weeks.

Whether there are technical reasons such stories need to be in the same place, I don't know. Back in the day, I'm guessing there might have been, because the illustrations would have significantly increased file sizes and there could well have been a dedicated high capacity server. Nowadays, probably not so much an issue. But best to ask Laurel - she'll know.

Aight I sent an Email. Thanks for the help!
Unless something has changed, the administrators don't open e-mails. The only way to reach Laurel, the sole site submissions editor, before the recent redo here was via PM (private message). The PM system may have been taken over by what is now call "conversation" (the envelope at the top right of this page), but I don't see any signs that the PM system merged over into that and the administrators don't seem to be giving any transition guidance--so, you may or may not have to use the "conversation" path to get anything to Laurel.
