Now that the Valentine's Day contest winners have been announced, let's get the April Fools Competition Thread rolling:

April Fool's (April 01)

The themes: Stories (humorous or otherwise) of surprise meetings, humor, tricks, trick endings, and other themes of deception, chance, and/or misunderstandings (happy or otherwise)

Starts: March 02
Closes: March 23
Winners announced: March 30

As usual, this thread is to SUPPORT and ENCOURAGE authors to enter stories in the 2022 April Fool's Contest. Get writing, everyone.

As Og said in the writeup for a previous April Fools Thread, many of us find this contest the most difficult of the year - but have a go.

There is an advantage to entering stories in one of Literotica's themed contests, apart from the possibility of winning, and that is that your story gets far more exposure and attention than it would normally do.

Some of that attention might be unwelcome, some abusive, but some could possibly be appreciative and helpful.

Wait for Laurel's notice of the start of the contest as a sticky at the top of the Authors' Hangout before submitting and follow the instructions in that thread.

Have fun everyone! And get started if you haven't already!!!!

Going to enter this one with a brother/sister story.

In the past my stories usually have a slow burn conflict driven style, others have had darker tones to them.

The goal with this one is to write a story that has a silly premise-very porno as my wife says-and is nothing heavy, just light hearted kinky I/T fun.

It will most likely get killed because of it. I've written so many train wrecks I think lightening up might confuse my readers.

Maybe that's the trick, they'll wait for it, wait for it...no, this can't be this simple, he's a complicated wordy self indulgent type who likes to fuck up wet dreams its coming any minute

Huh? That's it?

I'm going to try it too. April Fool's is the only special contest I haven't done yet, so it's time to get my feet wet. It'll have a small-town rivalry, dirty rumors, payback, and a little more. Maybe I'll put it in First Time, but maybe not.

Well, already got my one half done, and April Foo-Lee is all excited :D - it's her "American Dream"....

I might manage this - my first 'I say ass, you say arse...’ story was an April Fool entry last year, and I'm working on the fourth story in that series. If I can make it work as a standalone and have a bit of duplicity work with the characters, I might be in.

Yay! This is my favourite contest so I'm in :D

Have no idea what to write yet , but I'll figure it out - I work better under pressure anyway :D

Reboot!

I have two good ideas that showed up out of nowhere.

I like exhib/voy so here's my first story idea: A guy photoshops a nude his gf sent him onto a Reddit Gonewild post. He sends it to her to say "Hey, look what everyone said!"

She responds by upping the ante and sending her own pic to Reddit and having all kinds of people respond to her, before he can surprise her with "April Fool!" It turns out the guy is jealous of strangers seeing her nude body but she's really, really, really turned on.

I don't do much with Group Sex because keeping track of who's hand is doing what and who's mouth is where can be exhausting. But here's my second story idea:

A woman has her girlfriend over and they call the boyfriend's work to play a trick. His boss sends him home and the two pretend like they're hooking up and 'get caught.' The friend stays and they drink because there's nothing else to do in February in their snowbound town and they start wondering what if they really did have a threesome.

I'll take thoughts or ideas and I have plenty of time to play in a contest that doesn't do much for me. I don't know that April Fool's Day is sexy but I'll be damned if I don't to make it so.

I started one last year, and I'm hoping to finish it. I'll have to do some paring down. And I doubt it'd get a high score, but it's a version of an idea that's been banging around in my brain for years.

Nope, after checking all the cages, there are no plot bunnies marked April's Fool.

Yeah, no bunnies have popped up yet around here either. I think I'll just keep poking the geek story along.

I am going to pass on this one. Too many projects already in the works. Another 750-word story will be published in about 75 minutes. My first foray into Loving Wives since 2017, although it's really Loving Wives Lite. I don't expect too much from it.

I'm shattered. Not even another 750 words? Maaaaate :).

I have finished the first draft of my first entry. Now to edit. It needs a stronger connection to April Fool's Day.

Editing!

I have Grammarly permanently switched on. I also did a run with Word 365's editor and then printed off a copy in large print.

On that print I found 18 errors. After correcting them, another run with Word 365's editor before a second print.

14 more errors - word order, reuse of the same adjective in consecutive sentences, missing quotation mark, and words that were words but not the right word e.g sopped instead of stopped.

Now for Word 365's editor again before a third print...

Edited for PS: Ouch! six more errors. Two missing letters, one redundant letter, one misplaced comma and two paragraph spacings...

Ogg, have you ever considered hiring a sexy young lady to work as an assistant. It may slow down the writing in the long run, but would be so much more enjoyable :D

Since my wife and I will have been married for fifty years next month, I don't think she would appreciate that.

But I have started my second entry...

I have two first drafts done. One is too long for the 750 word thing. The other has such a surprise ending the readers are sure to one-bomb not just this story, but every story I ever posted.
