Yah, I'm not saying that this legislation has a chance in hell, but it does a good job at aiming for compromise head-on by catering to both R and D agendas.

And then it hits on what is mostly the issue to begin with - asylum case bottlenecks, which would have a profound impact on the constant stream of "caravans" as well as the overabundance of people released while waiting for trial. I think if you address expediency here, you'll cut down on repeat offenders who only do so to game the antiquated system.
