Queen Camilla

No. If she wasn't Queen Consort, she would be Princess Consort.

Whatever she is called, I'm sure she will do a good job, as she does now.

Would you please speak English?

I have no idea as to what you're talking about.

:D

I cunt keep their h000rs straight.

And no, I don't want a scorecard.

I know who AOC is, and that's more than enough.

And who her 14th great-granddaddy is, too . . . .

When Prince Charles becomes King, his wife will have a different title instead of her current one of Duchess Of Cornwall.

Normally she would be made Queen Consort, and that is what Her Majesty asked for last night. As such, when King Charles is crowned, she would be crowned at the same time.

But there is some public resistance to Camilla being Queen because of her role in the divorce of Princess Diana. If so, the Duchess of Cornwall would become Princess Consort. It wouldn't make any practical difference to the role she would assume as the King's wife but would recognise her contribution to the work of the Royal family if she becomes Queen Consort.

Prince Philip was consort to the Queen. That role has no formal responsibilities or duties and is a difficult role to assume. Prince Philip did a tremendous amount for the country despite that (as did Prince Albert for Queen Victoria, and the Queen Mother for King George VI).

The Queen has asked for Camilla to be made Queen Consort. The UK government has to decide what title she will assume (as well as what name Charles will take as King. He needn't necessarily be Charles III. He could be king under one of his other names).

The Queen's statement is basically a request to Parliament to ask that Camilla be made a Queen. How far the Queen's wishes are met? She has started a public debate and the outcome isn't known yet. I think the majority of UK people don't care either way.

I just might lose all respect for y'all.

And you know that I am imbued with so very much of it now. ;)

Waiting a long time...,

Waiting a long time...,

He must be your Joe Biden. Now I feel sorry for you.

Long live the Queen!

I've been rooting for her to outlive Chuckles since longtime GI.

That order of the garter deal a few weeks ago made Her intentions clear.

I can just picture Sir Elton John seated at The Round Table in full armour, like Judy in disguise, with glasses. :)

Twooo Wuvvvvv…. Camilla certainly worked it to get where she is.

Charles preferring Camilla the Talking Horse to Diana is the part I don’t get.

What if he becomes King Consort?

Queen Consort has a naughty sound to it.
Is she then allowed to consort around with paramours?

He can't be. She can't be Queen in her own right. She is a commoner.

But previous monarchs? Charles II had several concubines or mistresses. One, when attacked in her coach because the mob thought she was the other one, said:

'Peace, good people, I am not the Catholic Whore'

She was cheered on her way.

King Edward VII as Prince of Wales had so many mistresses that the British Public lost count. The British media was silent on the issue but everyone knew...

Well that's just discrimination.

;) ;)

If Americans can marry in,
then commoners can rule.
You know, common sense.
