If Americans can marry in,
then commoners can rule.
You know, common sense.
Tradition and Constitutions don't recognise common sense.
Your president has to be born in the USA; our monarchs have to be descended from former royals and Protestants. Neither condition follows common sense.
We have altered our rules for example in the Glorious Revolution of 1668 when we invited William of Orange to become King, replacing a King who was actually Catholic.
Those who are in line for the Throne are known from their birth.
One of my friends, when born, was 33rd in line to the Stuart monarchy. Since then, many people higher up the line have had children and grandchildren so he is now about 257th. But neither mattered because the Stuarts were never going to come back as almost all of them , like my friend, are Catholic.
